Wlad easily has the most effective and best jab. But I personally enjoy watching Cotto work his. His is probably my favourite. Khan also has a great jab. But like someone else has already mentioned, I'd like to see how he utilizes this on his back foot. He has got the potential to develop this into the number 1 jab in the world.
Wlad Rafa Marquez Cotto Wlad has to be #1 - he just completely shuts down whoever he's fighting with it. As others have said, Khan could easily be right up there soon if he keeps progressing at the same rate.
1. Kessler - when his eyesight was working he had a beautiful fast, powerful, relentless, well timed and accurate jab (in the last couple of fights it just flies out there but with no particular aim most of the time). 2. Wlad - he has a good jab. However it is a little hard to judge because he almost always has the physical advantage and this makes a jab much better looking. 3. Dirrel - he has a good very fast and accurate jab. It is not as powerful as it could be, b ut as he matures I feel it will become an awesome jab.
Wlad - uses it very effectively although I would like to see how effective it would be on someone his own size and weight. Cotto - Man I love that Jab Money - Went AWOL for a while but his dad brought it back he used it very nicely vs Marquez & Mosely. Khan - Very effective, nice action.
Wlad's only 240 lbs and half of his opponents were that heavy and still got jabkilled...obviously the best jab in boxing.
A jab is not helped by weight - it is helped by height and reach...of which Wlad has an advantage over most.
Darren Barkers' jab is like poetry, maybe not the best in the business but simply beautifull. This content is protected
