It would explain why his timing and accuracy was so off in his last few fights. In the Froch fight it looked like he had lost all technique and was just swinging for the fences when his usual style is very precise, backed up with an excellent jab.
Very good point. Its a shame that Kessler may have to retire from this, but would people shut the **** up about blaming Ward just cos they thought his fight with Green was boring? Talk about a ****ing agenda.
Kess seems like a level-headed guy. I hope he has invested well and is able to enjoy retirement, if it comes to that. Definitely isn't worth risking his vision.
True, its low...but it is prizefighting...and you should "protect yourself at all times." But still, its a crap thing to permanently injure the guy with intentional fouls. Either way, I think Kessler is probably done. He had a great final fight and retired a champion. If I were him, I would leave it at that and start chapter two of his career. As popular as he is over there, I'm sure he could get into commentating, promoting or something. Good luck to him. :good
yeah you have to give credit to kessler for fighting in adversity in that fight, he put everything on the line to get a decision.
Kessler is a truly great SMW and only genuinly lost to the greatest SMW ever in Calzaghe. Sadly he was fouled to illegal defeat by the illegal headbutting cheating of A Ward. I hope Kessler makes a full recovery and does what is best for him
If anyone gave Kessler, double vision, it was Froch who opened up a gash so big over Kessler's eye, that you could practically see his skull.
LMAO at these butt hurt fans blaming Ward for Kessler's eye injury. I wish the best for Kessler...He seems like a good guy..just hate to see him going blind over this.
If that's it, it was a great career which ended in an all-out blaze of glory. Best of luck no matter what the future holds.
He's had double vision for 6 months so 9 months ago Ward's sparring partner told him to headbutt Kessler because he'll be seeing double vision in 3 months???atsch
