Margo beating Pac would be a black day indeed, and it would make me even more annoyed at all this rubbish going on, and Floyd in particular. I don't consider myself a 'hater', as Floyd is my favourite modern boxer (in terms of his style and skill) but the fact that we may lose out on seeing one of the most anticipated matches in the history of the sport pisses me off, as I'm sure many other people can understand. I realise that this thread isn't about Floyd, but people must now realise that his name is inexorably bound to Pac, and will be until a match materialises. (Even after that their names could be bound together, much like Leonard/Duran or Ali/Frazier, depending on how dramatic/memorable the bout actually is.)

To get back on topic...Margo beating Pac would be a disaster for the sport. A cheating dolt who never should have been allowed back into the ring giving someone like Pac a beatdown would be pretty horrible to watch. (Pac isn't exactly a symbol of morality himself, but he's at least a decent guy, and is innocent until proven guilty in regard to the drug issue.) It would also give Floyd another excuse to avoid fighting Pac, where the pressure on him would be lessened and he would just blather on about Pac having even more losses than before. From nearly every angle I look at this, it just seems to be a high risk fight for very little reward. No one was calling for this fight (no one in their right mind, anyway) and the fact that it's actually taking place is just disappointing, but should have been expected, I suppose. Another not so gentle KD for boxing as a whole.

If Margarito beat Pac it would be one of the greatest moments in boxing history. If he beat Pac, and then followed up by winning his law suit against the CSAC, he will be totally vindicated, and quite wealthy. Margarito deserves nothing less than wealth and complete vindication.

well, Margarito has a small chance of KO'ing Pacquiao, thats all im gonna give him. Tired of this overhyped, cult-followed guy because he has A-class durability, but C-class boxing abilities.

SSM just totally destroyed him, and gave Pac a great blueprint to go by. Chop down the tree starting from the waist and work your way up. Its going to be another massacre, good chance more brutal by Pacquiao. Hopefully its enuf to put Margarito into retirement....

I doubt he'll win against Pacquiao but if he wins then kudos to Margo.

 

A Margarito win would be good for boxing.

He gets vindication and we get a rematch that would outdo the first one in PPV numbers and maybe even in terms of excitement.

The line of potential opponents would go around the block. Margarito vs Pac (2), Floyd, Williams, Martinez, etc. Forget about it!
