I'll be a fan of both. I'll be a fan of pac cuz he's that good and a filipino and i'll be a fan of floyd because of the way he fights.

If we ware talking about fanfriendly styles i think it is difficult to dislike pacquiao, same way nobody can disrespect mayweather for fighting the way he does. It is all the extern things about them that make people like/dislike a fighter.
I hated b-hop's performence against rjj, but i love how he overcomes odds and the things he accomplishes in his career.
That is what makes it a near impossible question to answer, if you change their styles but keep the rest everything would be different. Or it would have to be the styles that make people fans and the rest were to be taken for granted.

It'd be close. I grew up watching Mayweather, he's from my hometown. But if Pac was as technically sound, brilliant and artistic in the ring as Mayweather is now in carving up his opponents, he'd probably be right there with him as my 2 favorite fighters. He already sits just outside my top 5 favorite currently.

I wonder what directions pinoy pride's career would have went had his skillsets been traded with Floyd. For one, he would have only needed to fight Marquez once.:think

This is a very good thread.

My parents come from Dagami. I was actually born at Ft Benning, GA. I know that Pacquiao claims General Santos City, but his mom was from Baybay City. My dad retired back to the PI and he's the one that told me about Pacquiao back in the '90's.

Tell that to the SWAT team that were scurrying for cover at the sound of their gunshots.

If Floyd fought like Pacq,he would be Shane Mosley, and I have never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ehhhhhverrr been a fan of Shane Mosley.Brawlers are brainless to me.And I hate brainless fighters.(I only watch Rocky for the soundtrack,Apollo Creed and Mr.T. sorry Rock)Blocking punches with your face does NOT earn you respect where I'm from. You have to be so technically superior to your opponents that they look stupid in your presence. That's next to godliness(sorry cleanliness).

If Pacq fought like Floyd however,He would be much better.Hell,**** Floyd. If Pacq was in any way a fundamentals based fighter,he would be much better, and his face would thank him for it.Would I like Pacq more? No.How the hell could I?Pacq is like my 3rd favorite fighter just the way he is already, and has been for a few years now.

So if Pac had all Mayweathers skills and Mayweather was 1 dimensional? I'd be a Pac fan in that case

i'd still think both are great fighters but i still can't be a fan of floyd given the same phony character. probably just respect the skills as i do now, nothing more.
