I have a sinking feeling that vitali will jab and counter off the back foot all night like what he did to arreola. I hope Briggs kos him though.

If Briggs has an "asthma" attack after his initial barrage, he is getting ko'd. Vitali is definitely no "white wolf" or "iggy", he'll take shannon out. As long as Shannon can remain active offensively he is a threat to any fighter. Vitali KO7

Man, I applaud Vitali for taking this fight. A lot of heavyweights would have not.

Briggs will not hit him any harder than Sanders did in the opening round for their fight.

Vitali has never been down as pro boxer. But i seem to remember he was down once in a kick boxing fight years ago.

In all honesty, in order for Briggs to have even a minute chance of winning, he will seriously have to risk getting knocked out himself. He will have to go to war and feel pain and hope a hail mary lands. None of that **** he showed against Ibragimov, that crap just won't cut it. I don't think Briggs is able or willing to fight risky like that. Honestly, who has Briggs ever beaten and why are people talking about him now or ever? His best career win is a over Liakovich for crying out loud and that was a last minute effort. His next best win is over McCline, almost a decade ago. No other noteworthy person on his resume, unless you consider the white buffalo to be note worthy.

Yes he's definitely past it but he has enough size and athleticism to make Vitali uncomfortable. The problem is that you don't win a fight for simply making someone uncomfortable, you win fights by winning more rounds than your opponent and I don't see that happening.

I agree with the general idea of your post but this guy is definitely a better athlete than James Toney.

Past what exactly? When he was supposedly not passed it, whom did he beat? I don't understand this guy's popularity. Is it some secret homoerotic attraction people hold towards his muscles. It sure as hell can't be his resume or his style of fighting that attracts attention. And by the way, his supposed athleticism is actually not an athleticism at all. You're talking about his physique and anyone who's watched Briggs over the years understands his rapidly growing muscles actually became a handicap in the ring. It made him rigid and shot down whatever conditioning he had.

Much of it has to do with his KO percentage despite feasting on C-level competition later in his career. He also has a fan freindly style and many fans still remember him as a very dangerous man from his fights in the 90's and early 00's

Vitali inside 3 (under ordinary circumstances)...

...but there are several rumors, that RTL doesn't want the Klitschko's to end their fights too early. After Wladimir destroyed Austin in two rounds, many fans were disappointed because they spent a huge amount of money for their ticket (don't forget the lousy undercards of klitschko fight nights, which can't compensate a shitty main event). In some fights you can see wladimir or vitali holding themselves back for their opponents sake - considering the fight with Rahman. many fans thought Wlad did it because he was afraid of Rahmans power. but it's more likely, that he was going to give his fans an "extra" of his Klitschko show. Vitali's assignation with sosnowski was much the same thing.

    vitali tko briggs round 6/7

He did land cleanly on Lewis when he was in his prime and had fast feet. I rate Vitali's chin above Lewis. Ibgragimov was scared of Wlad's power but not of Briggs'. Pinneappla head ahas the type of power that looks amazing against B level fighters or when he lands the once in a lifetime lucky punch but at the elite level, he is not a great KO artist.

Besides, Vitali showed against Arreola that he can still use his feet if he needs to.
