He's taking what he see's as a low risk high money fight.

I agree but lets also remember that he is not officially fighting Harrison - nothing has been anounced yet.

Personally, I don't think he fights Harrison. It may have been 'Plan C' and Harrison is getting mouthy because he realises the fight isn't coming off and he's given up his belt as a result.

We don't actually know what he has been negotiating, who he has been talking too and what has been said. All we can do is speculate. His recent hiatus hasn't done him many favours, nor has his announcemnts that he is due to announce something - only then to actually say nothing.

 

Didn't Booth say they're talking to "6 different opponents"? Rahman, Audley, Toney, Briggs, the Klits etc. etc.

I wonder what ever happened to these "negotiations". Maybe Haye is hard to negotiate with, because him and his dumbass manager don't really know what they want?

 

Who do you think he'll fight, mate? Adamek? I'd certainly be placated if that fight was announced.

 

I've always thought either Chagaev or Thompson.

I'm leaning toward Chagaev and he may be having difficulty finding a venue as Chagaev can't get licensed in the UK.

Thomspon would be a pretty good choice also, as he pushed WALDO and is of the right build if Haye does ever mix it with a Klitschko. He's coming off a win too.

Adamek appears to be in some talks with VITLAY but it would be great if Haye could get there first - otherwise he misses out on another massive opportunity to prove himself. I think he has the beating of Adamek.

 

I think that's stretching it a bit, mate. Thompson appeared to take a dive at the end of that fight. It's interesting you should say about Adamek being in talks with Vitali as Adamek seems to prefer a fight with one of the Klitschkos.

Chagaev would be cool. I wasn't aware he couldn't be licenced in England but, now that you've said it, it's obvious because of the hepatitis thing. I still think it's going to be Audrey, dude.

 

I believe it was an option for Haye but not his first choice of opponent. In my opinion he has been dealing with maybe Chagaev, Thompson or Adamek with Harrison as a fall back option if he can't arrange a fight with any of the aforementioned.

 

I think he gassed badly, after giving it his best and took a decent shot. I thought a couple of times during the fight he was looking for a way out (like when he fell on WALDO and grabbed hold of his leg). Still, he gave it a go and at least pushed WALDO. If it is Audley then I'm afraid it's going to be £15 for about two rounds of action with Harrison getting bounced up and down like a ****ing yo yo. If the undercard is **** I may not even buy it. If it is Harrison then there isn't much Haye fans can do other than hope he ****ing wins and then doesn't take an eternity arranging another fight. I think Adamek is finding life hard at heavyweight and is looking to cash in with a big fight against an ageing champion - and who can blame him? He's earnt it - good luck to him.

 

Oh yeah, totally - please don't think I was criticising Adamek with my comment. I will buy Haye-Audrey if it goes ahead - but I buy every PPV. The only ones I haven't bought in the last five years are Hatton-Malignaggi and Holyfield-Botha.
