James Toney....Made Boxing Look Bad....

he wasnt even measuring his distance properly. He was standing there calm as a rock when he was clearly in takedown distance.

It didn't make boxing look bad at all, Randy just waited for the opening and tackled Toney, that was always going to happen and the end result was always going to be a choke out.

I never thought for a minute Randy was going to ground n pound Toney, he didn't want to take any risks Toney even on his back throw a nice short hard punch that might have hurt Randy.

I'm surprised Toney lasted 3 minutes almost on his back....... good effort really.

 

He didn't make boxing look bad. What do you expect from a guy with 9 months of training. Thats just like taking Brock Lesnar and giving him 9 months of boxing and putting him against Wlad Klitschko. Brock would get knocked early. That doesn't make MMA look bad, he's not a boxer and Tony isn't an MMA fighter.

 

Solid post, but I wouldn't draw any sport to sport conclusions from a fat over the hill James Toney in a hot dog eating contest much less whatever went on this evening.

James Toney made James Toney look bad. He's was looking bad when he was in boxing, with his flab and all. You gotta stay in great shape or stay out of fights.

 

You mean those who think this proves that one sport is better than the other. Of course UFC purposely didn't mention that fight. If Sylvia would have won they would have been all over that fight.

Props to Coture. Toney has a big mouth. Part of me hoped he'd have enough defense in MMA to give Coture a good fight or pull an upset but the other part said screw it Toney is a big mouth and if he gets his ass beat so what.

 

Greco Roman wrestling was Couture's best sport...you're acting like James wasn't allowed to punch in this fight....**** he had four ounce gloves he said he was gonna knock Couture out....Couture is smart enough to know his limits....James Toney wasn't....he talked mad **** and didn't back it up...

 

Acctually Kimbo Slice a backyard brawler beat Mercer in about 30 seconds.

Sylvia and Mercer had an agreement to stand and fight only. Mercer beat sylvia in kickboxing match essentially.
