Regardless if you like MMA or not, give Randy Coture his due respect.

And everyone that even gave toney a chance in this fight needs to shut up when MMA or boxing is even mentioned. Because seriously, if you thought Toney had a chance of winning this fight, you know nothing about FIGHTING in general and should end yourself.

Boxers stop trying to fight MMA.

And well, MMA guys arent dumb enough to step into a boxing ring so we dont have to worry about that.

    That is all.

Toney went to MMA because he couldn't make it in boxing, that's the only reason. So he had another option and took it. Does an MMA fighter not successful in MMA have an option in boxing?, hell no, because he would get slaughtered.

Ugh. All right **** it I'm tired of this ****. Two words. Ray Mercer. That is all.

Edit-Also, that Silva guy or whatever, did try Boxing...and he got his ass handed to him by a taxidriver, and he ran to MMA. That is all.

I still think that if the right guy crossed over, he'd bring some pain to the UFC. The problem is that the only elite level boxer in his prime that would cross over is someone who either gets suspended indefinitely or who just can't get anyone to fight him. The only two guys who currently fit this description are Margarito and Williams.

Great, we have the resident ESB idiot trying to debate MMA and boxing when his personal hero won't even get in the ring and is known as a coward worldwide. Please shut up and don't embarrass boxing any further. That is all camel humper.

I was just happy to see Toney develop such an awesome effective sprawl in just a few months.

"Give Couture his respect?" What happened? I didn't see the fight. Did he dive at Toney's legs the moment the action started? If so **** you and **** the fight. I have ZERO respect for ground humpers. ***** ****. Nice WUT, BTW. haha...

Who? Anyway if Mercer did lose to this Slice fella, who cares? He's supposed (or should lose) to lose. Mercer KO'd that one MMA guy in 5 seconds. That is all. No way an MMA guy does that to a Boxer. That shouldn't happen, and that is my point, and if you can't understand that...:patsch

Even world class hands are seriously not enough to be consistently succesful in MMA. Like Mercer, they would win one or two fights by KO but he would routinely get embarressed by even low level, but more rounded fighters. Nothing will ever be proven by boxers going over to MMA. Even the absolute best would have limited success.

    Lets discuss Ray Mercer.

Got his ass choked out by Kimbo Slice lol

Knocked out a fat ass old broken down version of Tim Sylvia.

Other then that. . . he hasnt had a MMA career hahaha

But he did have a kickboxing career as well.. lets examine that

well, he lost a UD, then proceeded to get knocked out by a head kick.

so honestly, can we just not pretend that Ray Mercer has any kind of relevance in MMA. :patsch

And dont get me wrong guys, im all about boxing all day long. But I can still respect MMA enough to realize that a boxers chance in an octogon is so slim that we cant even call it a chance.

Just as an MMA guy has no real chance in a boxing ring.

BTW - lets not forget that Toney chased down this fight and talked MADDDDDD **** just to get his ass owned.

For ****s sake. It's simple. A boxer will always win a few fights by KO but will always lose a load by all the other techniques that they have no real grasp of. No single fight will ever prove anything about boxing and MMA. Get over it.
