Wow. It's obvious that you haven't read any of my posts before this clown fight happened. I'm not the one starting threads talking about MMA in a BOXING FORUM. I could really give a **** about MMA, but when it is in a Boxing FORUM, I have a problem with that. Especially, when two great fights just happened on the same night, and people are starting threads over two old guys fighting in a ****ing pentagon or an triangle or an octagon, whatever the **** they call it.
A MMA fighter would beat the hell out of a boxer in a street fight. Toney made boxing look bad. He had some nerve showing up fat and out of shape. Damn toney sucked on the ground. He had a chance to apply a headlock but he was to dumb to do it.

I also wish it would stop, partly because it doesn't belong here, but partly because it make me be ashamed to be a boxing fan when I see the gross stupidity that half the people here are coming out with. If you couldn't give a **** about MMA, regardless of where it is posted, then why appear so ridiculously defensive like a so many of the other boxing fans on here. Anyway, I'm done with this. Toney didn't make boxing look bad, he made himself look bad he did aggressively chase the fight down, and got his ass handed to him. even though he was choked out, he tapped first. and he did get out struck on the ground as well.
I just said it because it's in a Boxing forum. That's why I'm posting and considering the fact that there are like 10 of these useless threads in here it annoys the **** out of me. Same here. They really are rubbish as I've said before, and I'll have to say again in the future when there is another clown fight. Listen, you are talking about a future HOF'er who has been one of the most skilled fighters of our generation. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that as a fighter, and a great one at that, could bring at least something to another combat discipline. If you think that a scenario where Coture goes for a takedown and eats an almighty uppercut is never going to happen, then you my friend also have something to learn. There are some boxers who have come from an MMA background into boxing and been very succesful. Are these fighters now forbidden from ever entering a cage. Really? Are you sure?? Actually there are fighters from an MMA background who have tried there hand at boxing. Their names aren't mainstream so you may not know them - evident as you've claimed that MMA fighters across the board aren't dumb enough to box. Perhaps I'm wrong but I get the impression you're trolling.
THATS THE POINT. Toney chased this fight down to represent boxing and did a horrible job at it. Coture did what he was supposed to do and even though im a boxing fan, im not so much on boxings dick that i cant step back and congratulate Randy on his win against one of OUR former elites.
Just so you know Couture choked out a natural 160 lber,,, :deal who has been punch drunk and washed up for years its not exactly an accomplishment.
