I hope he gives him a great fight, would love to see a war in the heavies, big klit is hitting 40 soon and now may be a great time to topple him i think, hes looking a bit sluggish recently, briggs needs to land a few big shots early
Sanders was an incredible puncher, fast and accurate with great timing. Briggs would probably do better against Wlad.
IMO Sanders accuracy is head and shoulders above Shannon's. Raw brutal strength doesn't mean half as much if it's not accurately applied to the chin. Look at Sanders left hook that hit Vitali straight on the tip of his chin in the early rounds. It didn't look like a huge power punch, but Vitali was visually more impressed by that than by any of those kitchen-sink punches Lewis threw at him. Sanders punches - hand speed and accuracy combined - are much more devastating than crude, raw power sluggers like Briggs or Sam Peter.
Briggs had talent, he never had attitude to use it. He is tough guy at press conferences way more than in ring. As for punchers chance, Vitali has that chance too. Briggs has given a few decent to good efforts, like in Lewis fight, and if Vitali is just a little off, and Briggs brings his best effort, he has chance. In other words, Vitali is most likley going to beat him, but Briggs could at least make it interesting.
Vitali has great defense and is great counter puncher. Lots of stamina also. Vitali is not slowing down at all.
sure he can...he can act as the "before spokesman for a miracle weight loss drug" briggs the before This content is protected and the after This content is protected
No, I don't think he can. His only chance is to catch an ageing Vitali early and have him on the back foot - and jump all over him. I think Briggs waits for a big shot and gets picked off before getting stopped in the mid rounds after gassing very badly. If he can somehow reinvent himself after some early KO's then great. I think his only chance is to go for the KO as soon as he can but I don't think he will.
This fight is a complete joke, and an absolute disgrace to HW boxing. This opponent for Vitali shows just how weak and how low boxing has sunk, unless boxing changes itself pretty soon, it will become even more of a minority sport than it already is. A fat, slow, nobody, who has not beaten anyone since the 1990's. What a joke.
