Haha, I was beaten to Coggi-Gonzales. You know ****'s ****ed up when you literally KO your opponent, TWICE, and your opponent literally spends a good part of the fight LITERALLY UNCONSCIOUS ON HIS FEET, yet your opponent wins the fight (not to mention Coggi was somehow ahead on cards at the time of official stoppage, and should have been DQed as well).
I think I've started threads asking what was the worst ref job ever, and put that video as the first post. And then people respond by saying "Cortez in Mayweather-Hatton"
Juan MArtin Coggi vs. Eder Gonzalez, Coggi was out on the canvas and the ref help him to stand up again, after the fight the ref was suspended for life, I think. this fight was in Argentina and they cut off the round 30 seconds. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feS5M-Swz30[/ame]
Timekeeper got banned too. He was ending multiple rounds way too early when Coggi was completely defenseless. Don't know if the judges faced disciplinary action as well, because they all had Coggi ahead on cards somehow. It's hometown cooking at its absolute worst.
Sorry I posted something you had already done, but when I read the thread my first thought was to that fight, I had that fight in my favorites in youtube and I posted it without checking any other post, because to this is the worst.
It really was despicable. One of the most disgraceful things that I've seen in the ring. Never seen any ref more blatantly biased/corrupt. Coggi won the rematch, but still, Gonzalez deserves to be considered a former world champ.
Idk about worst officiating, but I hate Cortez. My fav ref of all is Steve Smoger and Kendal Bayless.
I like Smoger. The worst ref ever imo is the ref that officiate Cintron vs Martinez. Maybe i miss some other post but how come nobody mention Jay Nady?
