Calderon - Segura

    Why didnt Calderon hold on and allow Segura to throw so many punches at him while he was trapped or against the ropes....?

    IDK man. I have NEVER seen Calderon just stay there. The body punches and age just got to him. Segura was the fresher and much stronger fighter.

    I see you have the Iron Boy as your avatar.. then your aware the just because Segura knocked him out that doesnt make him the superior fighter ;)

    And I love how the esb front page article about the fight makes it seem like as if Calderon was dominated and that Segura was so good.... I mean Seguras footwork was crap... but it worked in being able to crowd Calderon and chase him down. This would be a failure against any other boxer who can punch harder and is accurate and doesnt have a tiny body like Calderon

    I think is more of a better fighter, but I don't see him beating Segura. Not saying it isn't possible, but Calderon doesn't have the power to stop him. Even if Calderon was younger I still see Segura walking though his shots. This kid has the chin, hunger, and powerful body attack. Calderon's only tool his is speed and movement. Take the movement away with the body shots and its a done deal.

    It was also that Segura kept getting close and walking ... hell practically running towards Calderon that got it done for him. I give credit to Segura but I know Calderon could have done more to win.

    Seguras style = not the smartest. He can get caught with something while he's busy being aggresive

    Who knows, maybe he got caught up trying to be exciting for his hometown fans, it was a very non-Calderon type of fight.

    Yeah I think the moment might have got to him... When's the last time a crowd was going that crazy for an Ivan Calderon fight?

    Most def not a Calderon fight. Hes fought a rematch against all his hard fights so it might happen...doubt it though.

    My guess is that he felt he could avoid most of the punches and tire Segura out.

    Calderon got KTFO because Segura was the better man. And Segura would KTFO Calderon 10/10 times.
