It's good to see this fight happening, everybody knows Maidana's limitations but it's a fight Khan needs to get settled before he moves onto the rest of the division.

Plus Maidana has put on some good performances in the division and isn't undeserving of getting his shot.

I'll be happy if the fight is made, simply because it will shut an awful lot of people up. I'm not sure how Maidana has been made up to be someone worthy of being ducked! Khan will either shut him out or stop him late.

I'd rather see Khan in with Ortiz though.

il believe it when i see it. And if maidana had just destroyed a better opponant early and looked awesome then this fight wouldnt be happenin.

If khan takes it, fair enough

Maidana will be an easy defence. The guy is way over hyped due to Khans alleged ducking.

Ortiz would beat him 19 out of 20 times.

Saw the full Maidana vs Corley fight, lets say i was not impressive, Maidana was gasing from around the 7th 8th round.

Khan should box rings around him and stop him late on.

Maybe thats true, but it aint an excuse not to have fought him. The fact is Khan has nightmares about him and is only considering this because they have nowhere else to go thanks to marquez.

It may happen that khan wins an absolute shutout against maidana...but they HAVE been ducking him until theres no doubt about it

Was Maidana lying when he said it was his decision not to take the fight until later? Why would he lie? And why didn't the WBA strip Khan is that was the case?

Even a smaller JMM is more of a threat to Khan than Maidana....Marquez would destroy the Argentinian

Maidana to quit on his stool or be DQ'd. He'll lose it after eating Khans jab and not being able to land anything decent.
I couldn't believe how disgruntled he looked at the weekend in the latter rounds. Chop Chop really took it to him late and was a few decent hits away from a shock victory.

The difference is Corley could take to some degree what Maidana was hitting him with. Khan cannot do that. You honestly believe Maidana is not going to land at all?

I doubt he'll land anything decent. In his prime, Chop Chop wasn't hard to hit and Khan wont slug it out like he did either.
