Alvarez definitely won't. He's not big enough to move up that many weight classes.

Don't forget Vic. I know most are picking Mares to beat him but you can't count the old man out. Perez and Agbeko are rematching also, so Fernando can target the winners. I think Fernando will school Donaire if Nonito finds his balls and steps up.

 

I don't think Juan Manuel Marquez would fair to well with any of the 140lbs after seeing him struggle with Juan Diaz last time out. Who knows who will be the one, as many have pointed out, Montiel has a legitimate chance given his current standing.

 

It's starts getting very difficult after bantam though - in terms of size I mean.

 

Would love to see Montiel fight Vic...My gut tells me that Montiel gives him a savage beating on par if not worse than the one Donaire gave him. :yep

 

I have to confess to being a bit of a Vic fan - simply because he fights everyone. Montiel is one of my favourites too though and I think stylistically you are probably right - Fernando should beat him.

 

The longer it goes on, the less meaningful accomplishment like that are, I've no doubt it will get even easier in the future.

 

Come to think of it...Giovanni Segura might also have a good chance...Dude is enormous at Light Fly...Im sure he could snatch a belt at Bantam if he improves some more.
