Pacquiao vs. Margarito

i dont get how different states have different rules in the U.S..

 

I used to think that, but not now. He'd never been beaten up in sparring before the Mosley fight. He was struggling with the weight, getting hurt by guys he'd have beaten senseless before and generally looking crap. It's possible his trainer thought that was the answer.

I think he just had Cotto's kryptonite - pressure and workrate. But Cotto's inability to clinch caused him to eat a lot of shots he didn't have to.

 

I think that the wraps for the Cotto fight were supplied by the local commission and their application fully supervised....couldn't give you a source though :thumbsup

 

I wouldn't take that at face value, since the source was Nevada's commission and Jay Nady of all people. Not exactly an unbiased one. But there's a lot of conflict between the accounts. Particularly since some say Evangelista Cotto was in the room during wrapping and he says he wasn't.

Plus, it seems that while the wraps are supplied by the NSAC, the pads are not.

The whole thing's a bit of a mess, but hey... what's done is done. I like Cotto's attitude: he just thinks he had a really good night.

 

I think it might have been the uppercut/hook that landed in the fourth, but I see what you mean. I remember him saying that in the post-fight presser, but he said more in the build up to fighting Clottey and that Cotto had been hurting him.

Cotto just made some fundamental errors - abandoning his jab, standing in front of a faster fighter and ducking way too low. And, if he'd kept his composure and kept landing those shots he did early on, Pac wouldn't have been doing as well later on.

But the guy's a phenom whichever way you look at it. He's a tough little ******* to take those Cotto bodyshots and keep coming.

 

I cant see anything other than Pacquiao dancing around Marg all night... Margarito got shown up against a slick boxer in Mosley.... Hes gonna be a walking punch bag i feel...

And ironically if they had made Margarito get down to 147 there'd be little complaining about belt chasing..... including from me.

Strange sport this.... rugby is much less complicated

 

If this was at 154 Margarito stands a much better chance. But Freedie the joke coach roach will need a catchweight against Margarito. Would love to see Margarito fight like he did with Cotto Pac cant fight going backwards
