****ing actng scumbag got away with low blows the whole fight then got away with a knockdown as a slip, and the yanks talk about bias in Europe haha!!
Abraham scored a legitimate knockdown in round 10. Dirrell's knockdown in round 4 was illegal: he pushed Abraham off balance with his forearm before landing the shot. The ref did a bad job here too. He should have called no knockdown and taken a point from Dirrell. In round 7, Dirrell scored another illegal knockdown, hitting Abraham with his forearm. This time the ref did well to disallow it. In round 11, Dirrell took a knee because he didn't want to get hit. He does this all the time, just look at the rest of the fight and the Froch fight. That's not fair. The ref should call a knockdown when a fighter takes a knee. And don't go telling me that Dirrell "slips" every five minutes. In that case, he should become a swimmer. With a good referee, and on neutral territory, Abraham would have won on points.
I wasn't impressed with the refereeing in that fight at all. Wasn't that the fight the ref was warning AA for sticking his left hand out as well? Or am I thinking of a different one?
Yeah and it was not the first time ! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTnOw5w8Wcw[/ame] (go to 0:43) Michigan seems to be the "number 2 Germany" atsch
There were a total of FOUR knockdowns in that fight. Two per fighter. Had Abraham maintained his composure he may have pulled that one out. He lost that fight for himself.
I still feel there is unfinished business between these two. Towards the latter part of that fight, King Arthur was turning up the heat and Dirrell was not liking it one bit. He was doing anything to survive...running, falling etc. And that knockdown, was 100% legit. Abraham was very unlucky not to get it, and it contributed to his growing frustration. I'm still torn in my opinion with that illegal shot. Dirrell was putting on an act, but at the same time Abraham should have been more careful.
if you watch dirrells heel & aa's front foot its clear to tell that dirrell tripped... it was actually a wonderful call dirrells "2nd knockdown" & AAs "1st knock down" were great calls
When I first saw the fight I thought it wasnt a knockdown, but when I watched it again he doesnt even seem to stand on Dirrell's foot.
I'm sorry but AA lost the fight. Get over it. He has a titanium chin and when he fights on his home turf his opposition isn't even alllowed to throw body punches because he acts like he gets low blowed every body shot. All that happened that night was karma. This dude is used to home grown cooking where he's more than spoiled and wants to act like a ***** when **** doesn't go his way. Some of you are acting like the officiating was like Danny Williams vs Airich. Get out of here with that bull****. AA was getting out boxed and giving many rounds away.
Everybody acknowledges that he was losing, but it was a knockdown, that's what people are complaining about, that and the ending.
I just have this to say. This Super 6 tournament is like watching NBA playoffs. The home team always gets special treatment and it pisses me off. Froch, Kessler and AA are all fighters who only fight on their own turf and are use to special treatment . Dirrel is no doubt a little *****. But Froch, Kessler and AA are all overhyped fighters because they only prove themselves at "home". Ward is the only fighter proving he's a real champ. AA ****ed himself regardless if Dirrel was acting or not.
That's bull****. Ward is one of my favorite fighters but both of his Super 6 fights have been at home. And how did Kessler get special treatment against Froch?
