Naz could draw against anyone whereas Lewis had the biggest fights i.e. heavyweight title bouts against the likes of Holyfield and Tyson. Depends what you consider makes the biggest draw. Lewis was definitely bigger worldwide, though.

    Not true.

    As Don King famously said:

    "Lennox Lewis couldn't draw flies"

Over their careers Lewis probably earnt more, but only because he lasted longer than Naz. In Naz's peak earning years he took a home a lot more money then Lewis.

Naz for me no question. Never paid to see lewis fight but have paid to see Tyson fight. Iron Mike was the draw in that

Interesting the opinion is so polarised.

I'd say Naz. In a few of the fights before Barrera he had virtually everyone watching him in the hope he'd get knocked out whereas Lewis could never muster such support. Lewis would have earned more but naz was bigger, as it were.

Certainly in the UK, I think Naz was a bigger draw. He made his name on a Saturday night and I even remember my mum talking about him after she saw him on ITV. The pubs were always packed to watch him. Lewis being on in the wee hours on Sky didn't have the same interest. He made more $$$ and was on PPV in the states, but he was fighting in a division where interest was high because of Tyson, Holyfield, and Bowe.

Naz was certainly the bigger draw amongst everyone that I knew at the time, and by some distance. Whether that was the same elsewhere in the UK I can't answer, although given Lennox's complete lack of personality I would expect it to be the case.

Naz IMO, but he obviously wasn't around as long as the Great Lennox

Funny thing is he was right. Lewis wasn't a draw in general.

What's ppv numbers got to do with it? Lewis was hardly a PPV attraction himself.

Fact is this: Money talks and Naz, in his peak earning years, earned more than Lewis in the same period. There is no come back to this simple fact when considering who was the bigger draw. Either side of the atlantic.

P4P it was Naz. Put it this way if Lennox was a featherweight would he be as big of an attraction?
