The key phrase in there is ''over the weight'', for a fight a week after the Williams. So he has one week less for a fight, a world title fight, where he has to get under the weight. Not a full training camp for a world title fight is it?
I read that **** man.... And instead of arguing with you im just gonna say that you lack correct definition to certain terms and stop beeing so goddamn emotional about the sport
atsch Dude, please stop trying to back track now...You've been proven wrong...I dont care if was "over the weight" or not...The point is he was in training camp for a fight in which you guys clearly stated he wasnt in training when Williams team called him!:-(
Look back, I never said he wasnt in training. I said it wasnt a full training camp, which I dont think it was seeing as he's considered a small MW and he's having an ''over the weight'' fight.
My mistake...Bailey said so and I saw you agreeing to it...I thought you were saying he wasnt... again my mistake if that wasnt your arguement! But my point still remains...Martinez shouldnt get any credit going by Bailey's logic..thats was my whole point...He was about to fight Pavlik, then he has a short time to get ready for Martinez..and vice versa with Martinez prepping for Williams. Which boils back down to my point...They both (Williams & Martinez) were scheduled to fight somebody else but as a last minute replacement, they had to fight each other...So with Bailey saying that Martinez wasnt in training camp to fight is flatout bull**** and I've showed my source to back up my point!
I disagree with most things he said in this thread and most things he says in general. And I dont take any credit away from Williams, i'm just saying it was harder for Martinez than Williams because Williams was in a full training camp for a 12 round, world championship middleweight fight, whereas Martinez had a week less to train, at a lower weight than he expected and I also assume it wasnt going to be a 12 rounder that he was fighting in.
He may not have had that long to train but lets not act like he wasnt trianing at all...Thats my whole point...Williams may have had a longer trianing camp but that still doesnt automatically give him the go ahead victory...Williams spent most of his time preparing for a fight with Pavlik which is clearly a differnt style to handle than in Martinez who is elusive! So given that it takes time to get the timing and rythem of an elusive fighter you need apmle amount of time to fully prepare for this style of fighting! They both, IMO, needed more time to prepare for each other. They both made for a good scrap given the circumstances surrounding their first fight...Given that they both will have time to study each other...The second fight between these two will be even better...Cant wait!:good
I honestly wouldn't call any of the fighters you listed hypejobs with exception of Alexander. Bradley, ademek, are proven champions. I can see how some boxing fans don't particularly like Williams but it's hard to argue with a guy who has only one defeat which he avenged by a first round blowout and has wins over Marge,Winky,Martinez. The cintron fight was bull**** all around and I don't blame Williams for getting a gift because cintrons whole bit was based on the fact that the 4 round decision would go to him. So **** that whole situation. As for Alexander. He was hyped and was exposed by a decent fighter he was supposed to outclass. But if I has to pick one fighter I see gettting there hype bubble burst it has got to be Amir khan. He has skills and speed but there is no way he can survive on a world class level with that chin. And if so his team has got to blantly direct pass potential threats. I see maidana putting his lights all the way out Prescott style.
I totally agree. Khan's last 2 opponents he faced combined couldn't bust a grape and now Khan is the 2nd coming of christ or muhamed if you prefer. I too feel Maidana is a flawed fighter but he will be testing that chin if they fight. No doubt. Likely a KO for Maidana
wow, i've just read all 8 pages and the amount of pwnings made by bailey in this thread is probably a new esb record artyartyartyartyartyartyarty forum minnions like rudyard have been exposed at will, completely annihalated by an elite poster at the peak of his powers :vonnecunt there is nothing finer in boxing than identifying a hype job before he gets exposed and bailey has proven his ability to do this on a number of occasions. the only thing that compares, is identifying a fragile glass mandable before it has properly hatched :deal in a few days time, i will be putting my collossal esb reputation on the line by identifying the next disgraceful american hype job who will be exposed :think
