Okay so people heve always objected to buying some of the Khan fights due to them not being against decent opposition. Now that Khan has Maidana supposedly lined up for December 11th, will you buy this fight? This fight is a 50/50 fight and could really be the making of a great fight with multiple knockdowns and a lot of drama. Maidana is a very dirty fighter also. So would you buy this along with a DECENT undercard? :think Poll coming.
This fight is only competative if Khan decides to gunsling with Maidana...if he sticks on the outside and throws the jab its a wide UD to Khan

Khan hasn't fought a pressure fighter with power since Prescott and he got squashed. Maidana is Prescott X10. Khan can work on the outside but can he keep him off for 12 rounds? :think
I can't think of any reason why this fight is going to buck the Golden Boy trend and have a decent undercard
Khan didn't try to keep Prescott of him, that was the problem. Maidana and Prescott arn't really comparable either from a style point of view.
Of course. Any boxing that I can watch via any medium that is not an internet stream I will go for. PPV has never really bothered me. Interesting that Khan stated recently that the only thing that Maidana has is power. Amir has always had a talent of stating the obvious and I hope this is not a sign of cockiness setting in. Recently he's been showing great ring discipline and he is evolving as a fighter - not as a guy because his mouth runs away from him - but certainly as a fighter. Khan has the fitness and the ring generalship to coast this fight but Maidana will be coming after him all night or until Khan's razzle-dazzle combos force the referee to jump in. Maidana was poor v Corley and whilst I've never rated him a guy with his power could end a career not physically but mentally. Khan's ring discipline is one of his strongest assets at the moment and I just hope he keeps it up should the fight happen. I always sense with the kid that complacency is not very far away.

That's true but who's to say Khan can keep Maidana off? Maidana's right hand is a freakin monster and the way he hits people with it. He floored Corley with it and Corley just made it to the count of 9. Khan moves back with his hands down at times and I see it being 50/50 in this case because 12 rounds is a long time not to get hit. Fair enough he isn't really a preassure fighter but Maidana sure is and Khan didn't fight a Pressure fighter since Gomez in that case who was a former superfeatherweight. Maidana will be a big test.
Prescott didn't have the opportunity to apply pressure, Khan just jumped straight on him and paid the price. Maidana is a plodder of the Frankenstein school of footwork and this obvious limitation won't allow him to pressure a decent defensive fighter....walking around the ring after shadows does not equate to applying pressure.
