i think the mayorga knockout was tricky. on paper: he knocked out an iron chinned fight at a higher weight. in truth: he knocked out a trial horse who was beaten to ****. oscar at 154 wasn't the hitter he was at welter, let alone 135 and 140.

Well, let's take a quick gander at the respective styles of 2lb and the Tornado.

One is a slick and evasive boxer taught in the Mayweather tradition, and one is about as easy to hit as Anna Nicole Smith when she was alive.

Power's the last thing to go, and if Oscar could regain the sharpness he had even as recently as the Mayorga fight (which, at a reasonable weight like LMW or MW and with a proper camp and motivation - ESPECIALLY if the motivation was a trash-talking bully, given Oscar's track record there) he could land some heavy leather on Margarito...and as we all know by now the invincible man isn't actually invincible. Even if he tries to get cute like he did against Garcia, he'll be ****ed. Oscar De La Hoya- even in his late thirties - is much faster and sharper than Roberto Garcia (and is in the same ballpark power-wise).

Well, so does Margarito. Chin is less the point here than styles.

"IF" seems to be the operative word here and in boxing 4 years is a lifetime.

    Let this one go:good

Dlh probably can't beat Margs now, but I'd root for his ass. Dlh's too old. Margs is not half the man Dlh was in the ring-FACT!

Forbes never been stopped in his career. And beside De la hoya vs Forbes was a catch weight at 150 pounds in which De la hoya kill himself to try to make weight but only could go down to 151 pounds. I think moving down effected Oscar in which is why he dehydrated like crazy to fight Pacquiao at 147 pounds.

:yep Maybe it's just wishful thinking. Anyway, if Oscar does accept the challenge I know whose corner I'm in (and for a while there I didn't really like DLH).

Forbes is not easy to hit cleanly while Margarito is so easily to hit cleanly.
