    Hearns/Barkley is a good call.

    Recently, Pavlik/Taylor.

How many of the men you named were punchers?

Read my post at the end i caught that after. Gaby Canizales and Tommy Morrison were punchers though.
Although Rosendo Alvarez didnt get the decisions he gave Ricardo Lopez all he wanted in both fights, they were pretty much each others equals in the ring but Lopez the better fighter.

Junior Jones vs Barrera was a good call
Ruben Carter vs Emile Griffith (only fought once though)

I agree Ray was past his prime when he fought Carmen but am of the opinion he was still the vastly superior fighter with all the advantages minus youth. You're most certainly right about the Robinson of 10 years earlier being to much for Basilio.

Yes Tippy Larkin...Next to Willie Pep the best pure boxer I ever saw...He was so good a boxer that in 1947 won almost EVERY round from master boxer Billy Graham...In over a hundred fights Tippy Larkin from NJ seldom lost a decision...If he lost it was by kos to Lew Jenkins, Bummy Davis, Beau Jack, all powerful punchers...He was called Benny Leonard, without the chin....

Norton always had Ali's number, or at least gave Ali a very tough fight in all 3 fights.

Joe Medel-Fighting Harada. Although they went one and one Medel hurt Harada a few times in the second fight particularly in the 15th. He'd ko'd him quite heavily in the first fight.

Then again he was also being pummeled prior to delivering the tide-turning blow in the first fight.

Well worth watching. I had Harada winning but a lot closer than the Japanese judges and from memory the Japanese commentary team had it closer as well. I don't speak Japanese but they were posting their scores after each round.
I'd be interested in other peoples opinions on this fight. Hard fighter to outpoint Harada, he had a real judge pleasing style.
Do you know anything about the Harada-Esparza fight. Always wondered about that one. It must have been some performance by Esparza to outpoint Harada in Japan.
