Best/Peak vs best/Peak ultimate heavyweight h2h showdown! The Lion Lennox who destroyed Golota in a round VS the young Ali who out-boxed And beat-up Terrell for 15 rounds. This content is protected This content is protected VS This content is protected This content is protected Who wins?? - you decide! {fight is 12 rounds} I like/agreed with this prediction from a friend of mine - Only things i want too add are - Lewis has a 4" reach advantage on Ali [not 2"] And Lewis has a chance of KO'ing Ali in any round with a flush full-power haymaker. I agree it a 50/50 fight And I say - Ali has to try to dance And slickly box to get a close decision. Lewis has to counter/spoil like Norton did in 1973 for a close decision [i know that was past-prime Ali against Norton, but Lewis can do everything Ken did but better IMO] Or brawl/maul the smaller Ali as he goes for teh late KO.
I cannt even decide who wins yet TBH. this is teh hardest 50/50 heavyweight ATG fight to decide the winner.
your the guy who has lennox UNDISPUTED number 2 All time. Get off his nuts mate. Lennox is a legend but NOT in Ali's class. Ali takes this every time. via KO
Yet another dude that over rates Ali. Ali is a true legend and no doubt an ATG but to say he is a different class and KO's Lewis every time is the most delusional un knowledgable **** i have ever seen. Lewis's size, reach, jab and power would cause Ali nightmares. Not saying Lewis beats Ali but in a H2H it is a very close fight to judge based on their physical attributes and styles.... anyone favouring heavily in Ali's favour is suffering with a huge bout of nostalgia tinted glasses (I hate the way the fighters of older eras are seen to be so much better technically to more recent fighters which just isn't the case)
I have every Ali fight on DVD at home and have watched them all as well as read his autobiography's and Ali even in his prime had a hard job disposing of much lesser opponents than Lewis but you guys think Ali KO's Lewis 'Easy'????
In my opinion a Prime Lewis would stop Ali more times than the other way round. Ali is more likely to outpoint Lewis as he did to most of his opponents but knocking him out is taking the myth of actually how great Ali was just a bit too far. Ali was a great fight for his generation but just how great has been seriously stretched over the years and his reputation proceeds him
Who has Lennox beat? Compare that to Ali? I hate these new gen boxing fans who dont know **** about past fighters. Im not overrating Ali mate. Your the one overrating lennox! Sonny Liston (twice) Floyd Patterson (twice) Joe Frazier (twice) Ken Norton George Foreman 5 ATG's Alis beaten. How many of those fighters do you feel confident about that Lennox could beat?! Im not saying lennox would lose to all of them but he wouldnt be favourite going into each of those fights thats for sure! Now start watching some boxing young'un. And do some dam research
Well, the other week,I came up with a thread featuring the 1974 Ali v a peak Lewis. I saw it as an emphatic decision win for Ali,albeit a hrd fought one. So I will naturally go for the 1967 version of Ali to do it again. This time with a bigger margin between them.
People know i am a big fan of Lewis. My favorite HWs are 1.Lewis 2.Ali For ATG i have it 1.Ali 2.Lewis For H2H i find it hard to choose i usualy put Ali 1 and Lewis 2 but i find my self questioning it a lot. The fight is 50/50 Ali will come in and we can never guess his game plan. Lewis is one of the most adaptable HWs of all time.
Sonny Listons jab couldnt keep Ali (Clay) away! And he had the same reach as lennox, with a better jab aswel. Foremans power couldnt floor Ali!
