in my opinion if youve lived in a country most your life and you choose to be a citizen you represent them in sport. otherwise your nationality is dependant on race when in reality there two completly different things.
It's a staple of Arran's arsenal. When it serves him, he pronounces his British bonafides and claims every fighter under the umbrella of the "British" moniker. On other occasions, he rejects the "British" label and refers to himself as "English." :bbb
What because he Catholic and Northern Ireland is caught up in loads of religious bull****? He's British. Parents are from Northern Ireland, he was born in Northern Ireland. At best he's a British Catholic with Irish roots.
amir khan was born in bolten. whats the difference between him and macklin???? is it that ones white and one isnt?? so in your eyes that makes him more british. thats not how the world should work.
They are not alone. Many hispanics claim Sergio Martinez despite the fact that he is a full-blooded Spaniard.
No. Macklin's Irish but holds British citizenship (if his parents both or one of his parents is fully Irish) Amir Khan is Pakistani but hold British citizenship.
Quite annoyed you considered me racist when all my posts have strongly disagree with the post of yours I have quoted.
No offence, but that's a load of bollocks. I'd love to see how long you'd last if you went up to the Falls Road and called them all ''British Catholics''. Amir Khan isnt British but McCloskey is:rofl Whatever man.
It makes perfect sense you just cant see, because as I pointed out in a different article there is so much bias by the Irish from the perspective of nationality and religion. One of my best mates has lived in Derry most of his life, he's Catholic, but was born in Manchester and his parents are from Hong Kong. I'll speak to him about it.
