Abraham/Dirrell Knockdown

Since we are looking at the tape I'd like to bring up a point that is always dodged when i do.

Alot of people say that AA had a decent chance to knock dirrell out. I say he didn't (like 1 in 20 chance). Why do I say he wasn't gonna knock dirrell out? I say it because of AA. He was not putting anything on his shots. He was throwing arm punches even when he tried to press. He was still afraid of being countered. He didn't land anything hard late in the fight. Look at the round 10 KD that wasn't called. AA put nothing on it at all. Might as well been a jab. All AA's shots that landed late had nothing on em. Look at em all. AA was very worried about being countered since he had been hit with more unseen shots than he could have ever imagined that night. He was gunshy up until the DQ.

Before you respond, Look at the 9th thru 11th. He wasn't putting nothing on the few punches that he did land.

Agree with you in a way... people forget that AA had a good R3 and went after Dirrell in R4...and then unimaginable happen - the guy started punching during his fluries and countered the hell out of him (the knock down, albeit with a previoous arm push). Afterwards you could see that AA was very reluctant to throw anything and remained passive.

As for arm punches, I'm not so sure. The 10th round KD was a good straight punch, but didn't conect flush because Dirrell was pulling back. That's one of the problems, it's difficult to imagine AA hitting Dirrell with a full strength blow. Dirrell is too quick for that. Hence a bit more measured approached by AA later, although he seemed to be much less gun shy after the not called KD.

And yes, the disqualification blow was an arm punch! lol

 

Abraham fans act gay as **** about this fight. Seriously. ABE got his ASS KICKED. Yes he had a good rd 10...scored a knock down(should have been counted) then made a stupid move...

Some of the Abraham fans are just ******ed, trying to claim that Abe would have won on points and that the ref was out to get him, that Dirrell hit his nuts...that dirrells KD on Abe was illigal. bla bla bla...what a bunch of ***gots.

 

Dirrell pushed Abraham with his forearm then threw his punch what a cheater.
