****.. if its a sprint or a dance off Dirrell will win. He just doesn't look like he comes to fight. I really dont mind who wins the super 6, its just another step in the direction of clarity. Shame we cannot **** off the excess alphabet titles while these guys clear up.

IMO, Ward beats Dirrell...makes it to the championship round with AA in which he outpoints him.

We're in total agreement. :thumbsup Anything could of course happen, but any sequence of events other than this wold be a mild shock to me.

In terms of styles and intangibles I very heavily favor Ward over Dirrell, Abraham over Froch and Ward over Abraham.

This sounds about right. However, there are other possibilities that would not surpise me.

Thats what the conclusion I've come to...I think Dirrell is improving with every fight but the thing that got me down on him is how he loses focus in the tail end of the fight...I predicted him to outpoint AA, but he had me nervous as hell on how he was getting hit a little bit to much in the end of the fight...Going into the championship rounds with a heavy handed fighter like AA had me sweating bullets..If he does this against Ward, he's gonna be a world of trouble...Unlike AA, Ward doesnt start slow and he's going to fight for the full 12...Ward will frustrate the hell out of Dirrell and I think Dirrell will get out of his gameplan and do something stupid.

AA and Froch is my favorite do to the clash of styles...We have a crowd pleaser vs a heavy handed fighter...We as fans are going to be in for a good one...AA will probably start out slow as usaul and get things going on about the 4 or 5 round...IMO, Froch will be up due to activity, but AA will catch him and TKO him setting up the championship between Ward and AA.

Like the great philosopher Chris Berman would say, "that's why they play the game"

Thanks brotha. I have no problem with people dissagreeing who have a genuine opinion. There are so many ways to look at things and predictions that hardly anyone is absolutely right. Even when someone pics the right fighter, the fight goes opposite to how they expected that fighter to win. We can just put our thoughts out. Sometimes the fight I predict happens as well as the fight others pick in the same fight. Sometimes there are 4 fights in one fight. Boxing is just crazy like that and that's one reason most of us love it. I do enjoy debating/discussing things with posters who have a genuine opinion which they base on knowing what the fighters do entirely.

There are a total of six possible match-ups left in the tournament, and each is ripe for debate. It is my hope that people will offer their in-depth opinions rather than just throw a vote the way of whoever they're a fan of (for the record, both of my horses are already out of the race. With Kessler and Taylor out I have no real hardcore rooting interest but am no less interested in the remaining outcomes).

I think Dirrell will succumb to the will of Ward. Froch v Abraham I am undecided but it'll be a great final. If Ward goes in close, he's playing to his opponents strengths. WAR!

In the poll, you picked Froch over both Abraham and Ward.

What about Froch's game do you see allowing him to edge out both?

When you say Ward going inside plays to his opponents' strength, did you mean against Froch or Abraham (or either)? :think

both! :D if Ward sits on the chest of Abraham he's going to come out his shell and unload .
Now Froch has a proven jaw and that is still uncharted territory as far as Ward is concerned. I picked Froch to win because he has shown to be able to jab a bit but I am still not convinced he will win.

At first I was all about Abraham beating Froch. I keep thinking Froch is just gonna play it safe just so he gets by on points.

I think froch is gonna outwork AA and bust him up.

On a side note: If you look at your AV you will see where alexanders right hand is when he's throwing his left hook. That is a huge flaw and that's why kotelnic couldn't miss with his left hand.

Things are very well balanced. I slightly favor Ward and Froch ATM but Dirrell and Abraham are more than capable of winning their semi-finals. What happens in the final is something I'd like to discuss only after the SFs. Ward is the betting favorite, but the favorite changed after each round so far, so you never know. All 4 have a good chance of winning the whole thing.
