Troicki has improved a fair bit. I considered him and Gulbis as very similar players a few years ago, talented but streaky. Gulbis has improved far quicker despite his loss today but I notice more consistentcy in Viktor's game also. He's serving more consistently and he's not racking up quite so many unforced errors. He really used to make a shot and then miss one. He's still inconsistent mind.
Maybe this is Troicki's breakthrough moment... Long way to go though, Djokovic should still be favoured. Viktor's also defending and returning really well. He's improved his overall game a great deal.
Really regret backing Nalbandian outright now at 28s now hes 50s. Took his 5 sets to get past Voest. A decent player but kept returning to the middle fo the court all match. Bandy hit 89 winners and 84 unforced errors. Crowd was well behind him and came back well from having a match point at the tb but a net cord went against him and voest took it and broke him first game in last set. Laying the underdogs serving in last set or one set away from the match is proving pretty valuable for me so far. Troicki, Bandy and Jankovic and Sharapova match. Lost on Baghdatis match using this strategy but Clement is not so much of an underdog.
Anyone betting on Saturday's fights? I reckon Martinez will stop Burns but I noticed on Paddy Power the odds for that and the fight not going the distance are the same (6/4)- so ive gone with the latter just in case Burns does the unlikely and stops Martinez. Does my bet win also if the fight goes to Technical decision?
I think it depends on the bookie mate, some do and some don't. IIRC Paddy Power are one of the ones that do but I'm not 100%
You're best reading the terms and conditions carefully or just firing them a quick e-mail. Never used Paddy Power much.
My first bet of the event looks alright.... Ivanovic a break up in the first. Glad I didn't run with Azarenka.... down 4-0.
