Yeah i never understood why people were saying Haye attributes for 100% of the UK money if that was the case why did Valuev sell almost double what Ruiz did? It takes a good named opponent to get those buys not a Ruiz calibre figfhter.

Indeed, the goal posts have shifted. After destroying Ruiz and proving he is now an international superstar and Heavyweight King he now deserves more than 50/50. Here in the States, Haye/Ruiz was broadcasted in Time Square, hundreds of thousands turned out for the historic event. If Haye wasn't a British, he could be our president, he is that popular.

Exactly, you know Haye is a fair and intelligent man. If Wlad was truely bringing more to the table, he would be man enough to admit it and not offer slave contracts such as this to cheat him out of all of his money.

Ali was the most arrogant HW champion in many ways. Now just imagine he would have refused to fight Liston because of money deals. I don't assume Ali got anywere near the money Liston got. Imagine any of the great champs of the past whining about slave cotnracts while they still had to beat the recognized champ...impossible. Haye will be remembered as a diva with an attitude problem, the Klitschkos will be remembered as ruling the HW division for several years.

Were you there too? It was like New Years...I swear David Haye's love and talent could unite the world. Some may think I'm crazy..but I think he could bring about World Peace.

I personally think that Haye is largely at fault for the fight not happening. However, I don't care about Wlad or his boring division.

I wouldn't say it's ducking, but it is definitely negotiating in bad faith. He knew exactly what Wlad's deal was before he entered negotiations. Also, he knows that if he keeps the Skybox Revenues on his own, he earns more than Wlad because of Wlad. You see, Haye's last fight against Ruiz got 500K buys according to Skybox. Since David earns 5 pounds per buy, that 2.5 million pounds, about the same that Wlad gets from German TV. It is only unification that will bring in the big dollars, that will generation 1` million buys, partly because of Wlad. Therefore, the contract is inherently uneven. I fighter benefits from the others name and reputation, while the other does not, i.e., Wlad will earn the same amount of money fighting Sam Peter next month as he would fighting Haye, since his TV receipts is are fixed. Haye, on the other hand, would benefit and would make more money than he ever has, more than Wlad. It's a terrible, uneven contract and Hae should have never even entered into negotiations if this was his tactic.

Surely Haye has a right to say "That's your problem"?

The TV deals both men have are outside this fight. They are secondry. Sky have a deal with Haye, RTL have a deal with Klitschko. Haye isn't entitled to 1% of Klitschko's money and, likewise, Klitschko isn't entitled to a penny of Haye's. The other offers should be split 50/50.

If Klitschko is getting less money because of a deal he already signed, then that's his fault and not Haye's.

Haye will be bringing the majority of the purse, so he wants Klit to bring more money into the pot. But even if the Klits find another network, how much more are they gonna get? An extra 2 mill? 3 mill? Even in that case His sky Sports ppv money will far exceed that. So in any case, he would always be bringing the majority of the money.

Wrong. Believe it or not, Haye and Wlad's TV contracts are virtually the same, as long as they don't fight each other. Wlad earns a fixed fee of 3 million per bout, regardless of the opponent. Haye earns 5 pounds per pay per view buy. In his last bout, Skybox sold 500K, or 2.5 million pounds for Haye, about the same as Wlad earned. Haye's deal only works in his favor if he challenges for unification and brings Wlad's name and reputation to the table. Again, bad faith negotiating. They couldn have just split everything 50/50 but Haye is greedy and he wants to earn more than Wlad. It's as simple as that. :hi:
