Williams too tall is a lame excuse. They're WEIGHT classes not HEIGHT classes. Even then there's still plenty of better options like Martinez and Berto.
bob ayrum, texas, and whoever the hell is responsible for making this fight happen won't allow marg to be banned from fighting in the States if he's able to be a money maker for them. Buying this fight will only help marg's case of fighting in America. We can all do better than this.
Great post Kirk and that's my problem. Forget the fact Margarito cheated and it's for the 154 title and all that. How has he deserved this shot? He was destroyed by Mosley and didn't look impressive in his last fight against a journeyman. If he won a few fights first and looked good in the process, by all means. But we have no idea what Margo is going to show up and that's a bad thing to think about when you have the top guy in the sport fighting him.

Nice article LukeO. Being a fan of pac, I myself am a bit disappointed that pacquiao will let margarito earn his biggest payday inspite of that disgraceful hand wrapping incident of margarito. But I guess I will just have to look at the positive side of this fight and that is that pac will beat the sh*t out of margarito for knowingly endangering the lives of other boxers.
I see that point of view a lot, but I get held back by the chance for another fighter to get his name on the big stage.... another fighter who actually deserves to be there. You know, an honest fighter? I mean seriously, Shane just destroyed margarito.
