Hell nooo. I've wanting to see Floyd vs Marg for a long time. Good fight, whether Marg gets schooled or not it should happen anyway.

Floyd was scared shitless of Margarito in that video.

Yeah because Margarito is just THAT skilled and scary. He turned down the paper champion Margarito(who's biggest win was Andrew "Six Heads Zero Chins" Lewis) for $7million to fight the undisputed champion Baldomir for $8million. Go do your research well jackass. Margarito is nothing but a proven tomato can who needed to load up his gloves to call out smaller opponents and lose against them, that's what he is. I'll be surprised if he lands a single shot on Pacquiao.

The funniest is when this tomato can and his Tijuana dishwashing fans were laughing their balls off at DLH for fighting Pacquiao rather than fighting the Tijuana Tomato can. Margarito was cracking jokes from one corner to another about DLH's choice of opponent. Now this shameless piece of **** is the one fighting Pacquiao. This Tijuana tomato can should be hanged publicly with Chavez Jr. and Sr. altogether and thrown in the trash after it.

Pac is getting slated for fighting margo IMO. There are so many other deserving (non in house) fighters who should be given a chance

Just nowhere near as badly as FLoyd would get stick for

Floyd dont fight for belts anymore either. He didnt fight for Shanes belt even though Shane still had it.

The most shameful thing with the Margo fight is that not only is it at a catchweight but also for a vacant belt, so when Pac wins they can call him a champion in the jr middleweight class when anyone who knows anything about boxing really knows that its completely meaningless being it wasnt at the weight, the belt came from nowhere and Margo hasnt had a meaningful fight in like 2 years.

Great! Now that we got that out of the way, which everybody here knows; lets get on with the fight. Forget the belts (as you parrot Floyd even with "don't" instead of "doesn't", crazy...).

  8. If Pacquiao knocks the dog **** out of Margarito then i think it would be competely justified. Mayweather would be facing a fighter who is coming off two devastating knockout losses. You would be okay with that? Why doesnt Mayweather just face fresh fighters who are on a roll?

I'd be happy if he did...

  10. WTF theres no double standard. Pacman is getting criticism from all around about this fight, and he deserves it. But most of the blame goes onto Arum..not Pacquiao. Now if Mayweather fought Margarito instead, he would get more lynched than Pacquiao because he would have had to work with ARUM to make that fight.. Why work with Arum on Margarito when you could have just made the ****in Pacquiao fight???

All that being said... I'm still looking forward to Pac vs. Margs because its an interesting fight that Margo has a chance to win (small chance) and it will most likely be entertaining while it lasts...

I'm actually real sick of all the fanboy vs. fanboy **** that goes on here.. Can we just be fans of the fights without running this **** into the ground?

This isn't even about being fanboys anymoar. Even sports writers, who are known for criticizing everyone, are all against this fight. Some people are fans of manny pacquiao or Mexican boxers, but others are fans of BOXING.

As a BOXING fan no one can seriously tell me that marg is a better opponent than Andre Berto, Juan Manuel Marquez, Tim Bradley, Paul Williams, Sergio Martinez, etc.

First of all Floyd would never fight Margarito. Lets call a spade a spade Margarito is younger than Floyd and when is the last time Floyd fought somebody younger than him?
Henry Brussels in January of 2005. Calls himself the greatest of all time but scared fight boxers who are not older than he is and we should not criticize?
You can argue Floyd has never fought a tough opponent who was at their prime and then went on to become great ever.

  14. No yer right about better opponents... there are a million better opponents for Pacquiao than Margarito... And there are a million better opponents for Mayweather than Margarito... And so wtf is the point really? Are we just bitching about top fighters not fighting the best? Theres no question about who Mayweather and Pacquiao should be fighting, its EACHOTHER. Until that happens, none of us will be satisfied with who they are fighting in stead. All we can hope for is exciting fights until then.

As a BOXING FAN I could give a flying **** what belts are on the line, what catchweight they fight at, what promoter set up the fight... none of that **** matters. All I want is a good exciting fight to talk about the next day. With Pacquiao vs. Margarito we have that. Both are exciting and hungry. All the bull**** that goes on outside the ring before/after the fight means **** once the bell rings.
