I must be alone in totally understanding Haye's position on the 50-50 split. I don't see how anyone can think it's fair that Haye's earnings be dictated by the brothers' contracts.

Would Mayweather accept that?

 

What if Mayweather was a heavyweight and Haye had pulled the same **** and asked for a 50/50 split? He would have been laughed out the room.

Haye asked for 50/50, he got 50/50 and he turned it down. Wlad has a contract to fulfill with RTL, and besides, what is this mystery network that's willing to offer more? How much are they willing to offer? As for the UK PPV money, Wlad would contribute a lot to that and it would be totally unfair for Haye to keep the whole thing. All these excuses are just bull**** and it's plain as day that there's one reason, and one reason only why Haye won't sign. He wants to cash in on lesser fights before losing to a Klit.

The thing is, he was lucky to be offered 50/50 in the first place. He's desperae now and has no defense left other than to just be real and say "You know what? it's all about the cash for me, and there's no way I'm risking a fight like that without cashing in on the Harrisons first". Even that would take some of the heat off him. The last part of the video where he is trying to explain why his resume is better than the bro's is cringeworthy and he's just digging himself deeper and deeper. He would've been better off not saying anything.

That's utter bull****. Imagine if Wlad was generating a huge amount of PPV revenue in Germany, I bet no one would be expecting him to share that 50-50.

How is it bull****? Do you think it would make no difference to PPV figures whether Haye fought Wlad or someone else? Do you think Haye will do the same numbers he did against Ruiz?

As I've said before, if only he took a gamble and went for Vitali on a 50-50 split - one title each after all and agreed to go to Germany as he did to fight Wlad..... he'd beat the old man easily.

If it's all about public perception and £££££ why not beat the most overrated HW of the past 30 years - who some people still think is the man?

Better that than take what even non-boxing fans feel is a joke opponent next time round - assuming it is Harrison that gets the call.

Wasn't it like 800,000 for the Valuev fight. Pretty good considering it was Haye's fist real mainstream fight. He made a fortune from it.

Can't see figures for the Ruiz fight, but I'd say half. Which is pretty damn good for a niche sport like boxing in the UK.

No, can't agree. When Haye signs this disgrace of a fight I will no longer be a Haye fan and will be hoping for a miracle in that Harrison KOs him.

It's not a question of Wlad playing hardball - 50/50 with no options is a perfectly reasonable offer.
