Thats big news on McBride. Didnt expect to see him in a ring again. Does he have a realistic chance? Hard to know what his tactics would be- either to slim down and try to throw as many shots as he can, or to stay big and try to bully and boss his rival. Skelton would be short favourite you would imagine

I doubt he has a hope against either Sprott or Skelton - but they are in the bottom half of the draw and unless he has gone backwards since getting beaten the other month then he could win a fight or two.

Then face Rogan or even Barrett - for the Irish title belt he never lost in the ring!

No word yet on an opponent for Ormond? Spike in against Docherty is a strange one since I just thought they were scheduled to fight on the same card, not against eachother? Docherty is a good name but not at light middle obviously. Is this only a 6 rounder?

Apparently Barker has injured his hip according to the BBC.
With all the rumours that were going around(and there were a lot of them) I'm not surprised. I assume Warren wanted to delay the announcement of Barker's injury for as long as possible to promote tickets sales........*******.

Hopefully Macklin will get a replacement to fight for the European title now.
It seems Affif Belghecham has lost hist last fight, maybe it'd make sense to him him a go

I feel sorry for Macklin now, he turned down an IBF eliminator with Giovanni Lorenzo for this.

Affif Belghecham His last fight was against Barker for the vacant EBU title when Macklin vacated,

Surely if Macklin was gonna get a replacment he would still be on Boxrec as against TBA.............

Injured Barker out of title defence against Macklin

Barker won the European belt vacated by Macklin

The clash between British and European middleweight champion Darren Barker and challenger Matthew Macklin is off after Barker suffered a hip injury.
Barker, 28, was set to fight Macklin at Birmingham's LG Arena on 18 September.
The match was to be one of the highlights of the biggest British boxing card this year, with Frank Warren's show including 10 title bouts.
It is a bitter blow for Macklin, also 28, who vacated the European title in March after suffering an injury.

    Bummer:-(

**** SAKE! This has ruined my day (again) So what will Warren pull out of the hat at such short notice? Fair enough its still a great card but this is the one we all wanted to see. Some of the tickets are £100 and £200... Gotta feel sorry for Macklin, hes in a lose/lose situation now. That title eliminator looks a great option now.
