That is the worst post in recent memory, so you base your theory of wlad being the bigger draw by saying germans wont rob their fans.

    bull ****ing crap:|

    What theory ?

Germans wouldnt demand ridiculous funds for fights and neither would any other UK tv station bar sky ! This american ppv **** aint the norm in Europe and you know it:yep

I recommend anybody from uk with sky go and point their dish at german sat and get a reg sat box !!

Perhaps they will need a dish a bit bigger anybody here work in tv can confirm ???

Fact is that RTL are broadcasting this fight to the UK for free as well!!!
While the home station holds a ransom.:tired

Sky the greedy SOBS have a paid for locked down section of the astra sat I think.

Actually they have tried to sell on ppv and that format didnt work because the german fighters now havent got the charima arent exciting enough and simply dont pull a crowd large enough to sell ppv. it has nothing to do with germans not trying to rob fans. utter nonsense.

RTL broadcasting to the uk for free? so i can change the channel and ill bump into RTL channel although i have never seen it before?

And they won't air Haye's fights either, goofball. He's 30 years old. He's been a pro fro 8 years. Yet Amir Khan beat him to HBO. The Klitschos have been on HBO more than 20 times between them. Haye's never been on. He's not as popular in Europe and he's not as popular in the US.

How do you know Germans won't pay? Maybe the Germans government can afford to pay to show their bouts for free. I'd take it as a compliment, if I were the Klitschkos. They are popular enough so that the government will pay to put their bouts on free tv. Obviously, you don't get this.

Well the reason that khan was on hbo was because paulie malignaggi, who obviously has a contrat with them.

In the uk khan has fought on ppv with failed results even though it was just 15 poiunds.

Haye fights valkuev on ppv and sells 800k ppvs for his first ppv fight.

Wlad is a bigger draw. He has consistently draw 60,000 fans to his fights. Haye's biggest showing was against Ruiz with 20,000 fans. Before than he had consistently failed to pack arenas.

They tried it with dariusz michalowski whatever his full name is.

the concpt failed and that is the real reason why, the german posters will confirm this themselves.

well sir you must be a *** i wouldnt take it as a compliment if i was champion for 4 years and in my second reign as champ and couldnt sell a genuine ppv fight, id be worried. Please dont bring the government into this it doesnt matter who owns the channel the fact remains that they cant sell ppv. :dead

Haye's last fight is a much better baseline of what you can expect for his title reign, if he has one. Skybox reported 500K buys. Now, that's respectable, but it's only 2.5 million pounds...about the same as the klitschkos 3 million euros from German TV. Again, it's quite simple. The Klitschko TV deal was not a bad one when they made it. They didn't see any stars on the horizon so they agreed to a fixed deal where they would be paid the same for each fight, obviously. Haye, on the other hand, has a deal where he gets a cut of each pay per view sale. But he only makes the big bucks if he has a big name. That's why him insisting on keeping 100 percent of the Skybox receipts is completely and utterly irrational....Because he benefits from the name and the other fighter gets nothing for padding his bank account. Understand?

Thats inside an arena, there are no arenas in uk that can hol that many people apart fom footbll stadiums. which would probbly be more expensive to hire then the m.e.n arena or 02 arena.

the fact is haye sold 800k ppvs against valuev

klitschko has not sold **** on ppv.

    :hi:

How can it be a 'fact' that RTL are broadcasting to the uk a fight that is not actually scheduled at this point? :?
