Just noticed Crawley signed Richard Brodie yesterday, giving them the most prolific strike partnership in the Blue Square Prem alongside Matt Tubbs. They're joint top early in the season, can get best odds 7/2 on them winning the league or 15/8 on simply promoted, but they're going to be there or thereabouts.

 

If it ends in a TD then it hasn't gone the distance so i guess thats a winner, though you can get 7/4 for Martinez by stoppage elsewhere, probably worth checking, they have an online help feature where you can talk to someone so I'd do that.

On the subject of that fight I was going to put my money down on Martinez KO, I'm not completely sold on him but I think he's a level or 2 above Burns and although Burns hasn't been stopped he hasn't been in with a puncher like Martinez yet. That said I do think Burns will most likely eak out a potentially controversial decision if he can make it 12 rounds. With that in mind I'm considering laying Martinez by decision at evens instead. What do you guys reckon the better bet would be? Martinez by KO at 7/4 or laying him by decision at evens for less risk but less reward...?

 

I would (and have) taken Martinez at 7/4 with ladbrooks (equal free bet on sign up) like you said burns has never fought at this level and will be exposed. Once Martinez lands a heavy shot burns won't know what to do. He could get a home town decision but that means surviving 12 rounds which is a big ask.

LOll Cilic is not my hero quite the contrary. Berdych is a choker and always will be. The main difference between the grand slam winner and non grand slam winners is mental game. Berdych has none. Murray will probably win one before him. If he cant get past Llodra on his bets surface maybe hes not that great after all?

Venus has lost to someone outside of the top 100 once out of 33 times in slams and that was against Clljsters who won it last year. Serving for the match now. GSM Venus. Marino is a decent player chokes at the big points but solid serving. Venus now 35-0 in first 2 rounds at us open.

 

I think his ranking is smoke and mirrors he beat an injured Federer (said in interview this week) to get to the final. Beat nobody else of note on his way to that final which is what you are giving him so much credit for.

 

Anyone thinking of betting on the Isner match remember how he retired 2 weeks ago when a break up against Nalbandian in first set went over and twisted his ankle has said in interviews that his ankle has still not fully recovered and only arrived on sunday in new york.

Andreev got a 3-1 record against Monfils and beat him everytime on hard. And the fact its Monfils who is a loose cannon and can go walkabout at any stage makes that match a big no bet for me. But looks like hes turned up today.
