Can Pac-Margarito really draw 70,000 or more?

No surprise. You're a deluded Floyd fan. Of course you'd disagree.

floyd Judah at the mack was hardly a sellout. Floyd Marquez had lots of trouble putting butts in the seats. How do I know. I was there..both fights not even CLOSE to selling out.

True. That card was definately a let down.

Maybe that will affect this fight. Along with the controversy. Or maybe that will help it sell more...

Not only is 70,000 tix sold a real possibility, Pac-Margo will out sell what Pac-Cotto did on PPV. It wouldn't surprise me if it doubles what Pac-Clottey did.

Easily. Big mexican population in Texas. Exciting matchup. Even if it's a total destruction by Pac, Marg will still bring it and take a serious beating before he goes down, plus he has a significant size advantage.

1.5 mil would be twice the buy total of the Pac-Clottey PPV (750k). Achieving that buy total for this fight wouldn't surprise me in the least bit.

@spud I meant I wouldn't be surprised if Pac-Margarito doubles what Pac-*Clottey* did. Sorry for the typo; I did edit my post.

Ticket sales for Pacquiao v Clottey were 36,371.

Actual number of people in attendance (including freebies) was 41,481.

Made-up attendance figure announced on the night was 50,994.

People should specify which of those three variables they are talking about if they are predicting '70,000'?

    Mixed feelings about this..

Part of me wants it to do bad, to show Arum that the public doesn't feel Margo deserves the fight

Part of me wants it to do great, as an answer to critics who say boxing is dead etc etc..

The live gate will easily beat the attendance of the Clottey fight.Probably in the area of 60,000.It will also hit a million PPV's.
Good payday for Arum and partners.
