This isn't the first time you've been unwilling to dive in to murky waters and make a conjectural pick.

It really doesn't matter if you're wrong. Nobody's going to burn you at the stake. :yep

Just say what you feel is most likely (of the eight possible outcomes taking us through the tournament championship) and why. Of course there are unknown variables that could crop up between now and when the Finals take place. So what? Make your best educated guess as of now. With this many possibilities it isn't like being off is grounds for being raked over the coals. This isn't really a competition so much as it is about hearing people's analyses (and observing trends), and yours would be especially welcome.

Like lastletter26 said, crazy things happen in this sport and sometimes even when you're right you're wrong (and vice versa).

    Live a little. :good

Dirrell to me is the best fighter at 168. He's got natural talent, ability, and a superb boxing brain. He also is the most natural, seemless switch hitter the game has seen yet. Dirrell is also young but has been progressing, gaining confidence in himself and his abilities and it showed in his last fight. It only will get better...Ward-Dirrell in my eyes will be a thorough schooling that merely showcases the wizardry that is Andre Dirrell. Ward will be lucky to walk away with 5 rounds in the fight.

Dirrell beats Ward, then Froch a second time for the championship, then Kessler in Denmark.......

Ward beating Dirrell would be akin to The Karate Kid beating Mr. Miagi.....ain't gonna happen.

Dirrel vs. Ward would be 50/50 based on their skills, but I'm worried about Dirrel for two reasons 1) He got hurt bad in that DQ loss. Did he have a concussion? Sometimes fighters can be hurt easily after taking damage like that. He may not be ready for this fight physically. 2) Dirrel simply doesn't have the mental edge that Ward has. Ward walks around like a champion, like he's already won the tournament - not b/c he's arrogant, but b/c he really believes he is in control and is executing his plans. Dirrel does not have this, and you can tell at times in his fights, like when he inexplicably dives onto the canvas or takes a knee. I'm taking Ward in this fight, but I think it'll be a great one.

AA vs. Froch is a mismatch in my opinion. Froch is another guy who behaves like a champion much like Ward, however, he does not have the physical skills to match. A fast, accurate, puncher will always be able to hit him. AA will definitely hit him plenty. Froch may be able to hit AA a decent amount as well. Who wins this slugfest? I think that's an easy vote for AA. He's got the better defense, the better chin, more power, and is harder to hit cleanly. AA wins and I think by KO. Don't write him off by decision, either. It's a myth that he can't win a decision. He was gonna beat JT by decision without that 12 rd KO. Not the case when Froch fought the same opponent.

Ward vs. AA in the final, but I won't pick a winner until I see the next round of fights, because that would be really stupid. (What, no one else noticed that? lol)

Leaning towards Ward>Dirrell and AA>Froch with Ward winning the tourney. Although I'm rooting for Dirrell to upset Ward and either he or AA to win the tourney.

My case is this: Logic and careful analysis have proven to be utter bull**** several times in this tournament.

Not just this tourney but fights in general. Not really bull**** as much as just being wrong. Wrong about the interaction between the fighters and the parts they play.

In about a week we can start to panic about the solidity of the September 25th date (no location reported, no Fight Camp 360 scheduled to air...)

Home advantage isn't really a factor in my pick, however (even at Joe Louis Arena I'd favor Ward). The fact that Froch-Abraham is in the neutral locale of Monaco makes it a non-issue there as well.

It shouldn't be an issue until the Final (and maybe not even then, depending on how it goes).

    Dirrell beats Ward.
    Froch beats AA.

Froch beats Dirrell again in final. Dirrell is terrified of Froch

If they fight again, Froch will not last 8 rounds.

Keep those fingers crossed, fight fans.

It's virtually certain now that Ward and Dirrell won't be in the ring on the 25th, but hopefully they can start fresh with a new date. Kessler and Taylor had health-related excuses; it would be utter bull**** for either Andre to pull out at this point over niggling minutiae.

I'm also reading that Froch-Abraham has also not yet been sanctioned for the WBC title, as Kessler has not yet formally vacated.

With kessler pulling out with injury and ward and dirrell not wanting to fight each other 'cause they are BFF. I'm 'fraid S6 is ovah!

Lets not forget that the tournament so far has been an upset fest. Even if i think one will beat the other my gut is telling me not to be so sure about that.
Hoping for a Abraham Ward final but not gonna bet on it to happen.
