How do you guys view Margarito's loss against Mosley?

And the fact that Mosley looked like **** in Sept 08 against a shot mayorga didn't help the perceptions..

 

Mosley is a better fighter. But it's very possible that Marg wasn't 100% mentally in that fight. He was probably walking to the ring thinking of what people were thinking of him, and was totally nervous, and not in the fight.

And no, sorry, the "he's cheater" argument counters absolutely nothing I said in my post. . I can analyze the fight just like any other fight and the possible "outside" (sort of) reasons why fighter A or B lost.

 

Mosley was on PEDs. Margo would destroy him in a rematch with OST

 

I think Margarito is done. All the years of blocking punches with his face has taken its toll. Pac will finish him off.

Mosley has always been able to beat Mexican fighters with the Mexican style, he has trouble with slicker boxers then himself with good jabs (Winky/Forrest) and then was outclassed by PBF when he was pretty far past it. (I actually think he might get beat by Mora).

So basically SSM beats Margarito at any time in his career. In fact Margarito was so stylistically perfect for Mosley it made people beleive that the old Sugar Shane was back.

Plus that body shot in the 1st round pretty much ended the fight.

 

That body shot was just perfectly landed, Margo was going forward and Shane hard body punch landed right in the middle of his torso. Margarito never saw that punch coming.
