:thinki think his wins (dubious though some may be) over martinez, phillips (old, faded but for a claim for top 154 pounder), margarito and wright give him a claim. now each of those wins save for margarito can have an asterix beside it. despite his sloppiness and occasionally **** skills and stupidity, his resume is pretty decent

 

Enough to warrant top 10? NO. I could see why he'd be top 20 but IMO he in no way warrants to even be considered the top 10. There are about 14 or so fighters locked on before he gets anywhere near p4p.

Enough to warrant, what I see some people doing, putting him as high as 3rd or 4th? **** off and die (anyone that does it or even contemplates putting him that high).

 

Dude this is the same network that lets guys like Wilbon and Rome crap on Mayweather too. Not to mention "Lyin'" Brian Kenny who for FMJ's last 6 opponents has been saying "why won't you face..." while he has lined them up and knocked em' down.

That BS "Hits" was lopsided. As a journalist you are supposed to be cultivating sources and getting actual EVIDENCE! How in the hell can he say Pac was "...ready, willing, and able..." when just a few weeks ago he was crying about not getting any information before, during, or after that dumb conference call and deadline? If he had any integrity as a man he couldn't draw these conclusions.

At this point the ONLY evidence we have are timelines leading up to this and all of those point to Pac not wanting the fight. I bet you guys don't even remember when Pac was trying to dodge the fight with the "50/50 or no fight." crap. Then came the "10oz gloves". Then "accepting random" testing, but only "on a schedule"? Then there was 30 day cut off, busted by 24/7, then a 24 day cut off, then a denial of the offer of 14 days, then admission, but still no fight! WTF? :huh

That was the LAST negotiations and we have even LESS information now, but Dan "The Fat Man" Rafael can say Mayweather was at fault here? Without ANY shred of proof? Did he see a contract? Get a TAPED interview?

Yes. This is the same moron that had Baldomir higher than Mayweather on his p4p list. He is a hater.

 

top 20 though i think is more than fair. top 10 an argument can be made. top 3? yeah, that's ridiculous. but less ridiculous than donaire within sniffing distance and i've seen him at 4. your avatar (up until recently) had as much claim as williams

 

Watch MSNBC and then Foxnews, it's a sign of the times...And whether for or against, people are talking about them...ESPN is about the $ too...

But, Rafael has been fairly measured in his criticism....

Well even Hasegawa now has far more claim to p4p than Williams IMO, thats why I struggle to find a place for Williams in my top 20, because currently I struggle to put Hasegawa in there and hes pretty much my favourite fighter. Infinitely more skilled and if he didnt get knocked out against the run of the fight v Montiel he'd be locked on top 10, warranting a place as high as 7th IMO.

fair placement for Has. however, i can't possibly find 20 boxers that have earned a spot in the top 20 more than williams. fighters that may be more skilled but don't have the resume to back it up.

 

Simple, Pac, Arum, HBO, etc say so and PBF will not refute it...Look, the whole media game is BS, please don't believe everything they tell you because most people don't realise just how full of sht they are...But, Rafael could say far worse if he were a 'hater'...This just looks bad for PBF for anyone other than a Floyd fan...

Pac, Floyd, Adamek, Bradley, Wald, Vitali, JMM, Juanma, Wonjongkam, Montiel, Hasegawa, Darchinyan (yes), Cotto, Martinez, John, Caballero, Bradley, Alexander (yes I rate wins over Urango, Witter and Corley over Williams as a whole, they both got gifts in the Kotelnik and Martinez fight respectively), Mosely, Khan, Ward, maybe even Froch or Bute, Jermain Taylor & Hatton until they're officially retired, Calderon, Moreno, Perez, Nishioka, Hopkins, Pascal, Kessler, Rafa, Guzman, Erdei.

You could make a decent case for many of them IMO, definitely 20 or more. I just blurted out all names I could think of in that general area of definite p4p top 10, then to be considered for the enxt 10 and so on.
