The Trinidad fight was the best. He schooled Tito and won almost every round.

His performance against Tito was superb.

Also worth remembering prior to the Pavlik fight many fans were actually concerned about Hopkins health, going in against a big punching, younger champion.... only for Hopkins to school him.

    has to be tarver.

here is bernard hopkins best 6 wins broken down, take away the smoke and mirrors, the hbo and ring magzaine brainwashing and this is what your left with :deal

    trinidad
    prime weight = welterweight (147)
fought hopkins at middleweight (159)
trinidads record at middleweight or above from hopkins onwards = 2 wins / 3 defeats

    winky wright
prime weight - light middleweight (154)
fought hopkins at - 170 lbs
in 57 fights, the hopkins fight was the only fight that wright had weighed over 160 lbs (a full 10lbs difference) :rofl

    de la hoya
    prime weight - welterweight (147lbs)
fought hopkins at - middleweight (160lbs)
de la hoya only fought twice in his career at middleweight out of 45 fights -1 win / 1 loss - the win was a very debatable decision over eurobum felix sturm

    pavlik
prime weight - middleweight (160 lbs)
fought hopkins at - 170 lbs
in 34 fights pavlik had only fought 2 minnions at the beginning of his career at 169. all pavliks fights since hopkins have been at the 160 limit.

    tarver
    prime weight 175
great 2 weight jump from hopkins and his best win despite tarver being a b-level fighter and going 3 wins / 3 losses from hopkins onwards.

    johnson
prime weight -super mid / light heavy (162 to 175)
fought hopkins at - middleweight (160)
    johnsons record at 160 + from hopkins onwards - 18 wins / 14 defeats / 2 draws
the defeats have come against people of the level of ottke, woods, shieka, gonzales, harmon, branco, vanderpool, Kiwanuka, sosa :rofl

then throw in hopkins 4 defeats to the only top class fighters he ever fought at a fair weight (jones, calzaghe, and taylor twice) and you get a true reflection of the career of bernard hopkins :deal

Hopkins lost to Jones when he was 28 and didn't loose again until twelve years later when he was in his 40's, to less skilled fighters who scraped through by the skin of their teeth by just about outworking an old man to earn debatable decisions.

considering who he was facing and his age

the calzaghe fight was a hell of a performance

every time joe got to the inside, b hop would rip him with hard short right hooks and body shots

    joe knew he didnt win

and im a fan of joe and live in wales

Although Hopkins over Trinidad was impressive I would still rate his win over Tarver a bit higher because of the position that Hopkins was in at the time.

That was his best performance. His best win was Trinidad, followed by Calzaghe, Tarver and Pavlik.

Trinidad by far.... he completely dominated Tito. Tito didn't win a single round (convincingly) in that fight if I remember correctly.

The thing about Hopkins is that he not only beats these guys but COMPLETELY schools them from start to finish as if they aren't even on the same level as him. And these fighters were top 5 P4P fighters when he fought them (Tito, Tarver, Winky, Pavlik).

And if he does that to Pascal, his legend will grow further.
