I once held a title..My brother was superior to me, never held a crown...
We both faced an alltime great fighter...Who was I ?

Gosh, if this turns out to be Burt's answer, I would dispute it. Teddy was better than Tommy.

Mike Belloise would be my answer.

Steve might be viewed as better than Mike. Steve faced Sugar Ray Robinson. Mike faced Henry Armstrong.

Your answer will more likely be the correct one. Tommy's best opponent was probably LaMotta, who doesn't quite match up to Robinson/Armstrong.

My guess would be welterweight champ Mike "twin" sullivan - whose brother Jack was arguably better. They both met Stanley Ketchel.

    Well, all together now:

    Dominic DiMaggio
He's better than his brother Joe
    Dominic, oh Dominic
    Our Dominic DiMaggio

No, Teddy was superior to Tommy, who was a helluva boxer himself...

    Maryland, My Maryland
    Avenge the patriotic gore,
That flecked the street's of baltimore
And be the battle Queen of yore

Not the Belloise brothers...Steve hit like Kelly Pavlik, but was a much better fighter...Tougher times...

Well, Mike and Steve were my best guess.

There are a lot of brothers, but I can't think of one in which the brother who was champ would be considered the inferior fighter.

I will be waiting for Henry to solve this one so I can see the answer.

George Chip was MW champion, but Joe Chip was the brother who knocked out Greb. Can Joe be argued for as superior to George though? Their records suggest not.

A small hint---My title was not in one of the 8 original divisions...
