Barker likely to vacate European title, explains pull out

    cannot post the link but the story is on the BN site.

    Pretty much what i said earlier. Barker had a hip operation a few months ago. He broke down few weeks ago which is when the rumours started and took a few and took a few days of sparring, it happend again this week and Simms pulled him out. Barker desperately wanted to continue. He is gutted.

    He will speak to a surgeon this week. If he is out for the year he will vacate. Barker said the injury stories were false as he didn't want Macklin getting wind of it and giving me an advantage. fair enough.
