Like I give a **** what they think. I use my eyes and talk to others; people who cant or shouldn't have any bias towards fighters.

Magazines, journos, tv companies etc have undeniable bias to some fighters.

 

yeah, we know that... and we keep wondering for what? the ability to jump from one weight class to another? he resume is not bad, don't get me wrong, but it is NOWHERE near top 10 p4p... he is yet to be a top dog in any of the three division he apperently fights in.

 

look, i'm no williams apologist. i like the guy but i don't get a lot of what they are doing. saying they want to fight at 147 and then fighting cintron at 154 when kermit said he'd fight at 147...not fighting the mw champ for a 50/50 split...but ya'll are hatin' a little too hard on williams.

they guy beats margo at 147...clubs winky wright like a red headed baby seal at 160...then gives sergio all he wants and comes away w/ the close decision after taking the fight on short notice after spending a lot of time preparing to fight kelly who couldnt be more different than sergio.

whoever above said he wasnt top 35 is....how is it put across the pond??....."taking the ****"??? is that a proper use of that phrase???

 

There ís just cause in me ranking not ranking him in the top 30 or 35.

I can accept he may be put anywhere from the mid 20's. But anything higher than that is simply lies, bias and ignorance.

Yes its the right phrase but I'm not doing it in this instance.

I'll find the post about the 30 or so that cases could be and should be made for them to be ranked p4p ahead of Williams (some are a given).

 

Two things you gotta remember:

1. This is P4P.
2. On the surface some opponents do not look like it but when you analyse their oppoentns records aswell then they have a good case. This is particularly present in the case of Cabellero.

 

On reflection I dfinitely remove Bute and most probably Nishioka.

well i agreed w/ you from the outset that these "rankings" by boxing publications shouldnt be considered gospel. and while many will disagree, you certainly made a case for having him outside the top 10 at least.

 

Better than nothing.

I dont even rate his skill level honestly.

Any fighter with that amount of physical advantage, who cant use it properly should not even be considered for anything really.

 

he doesnt control distance, keep smaller fighters off him, use his jab, use his height, etc. and someone w/ that height and wingspan should be knocking people the **** out. no one should touch him and he should be dropping people. but he doesnt

yet he keeps winning.

 

'winning' and he also looks like hes getting worse each fight and if anything I've seen him move up in peoples p4p lists as time progresses when in reality it should be the opposite.
