It's been long known that Mayweather doesn't have the passion for the sport that he once had. He fights for his check. That's why he doesn't fight often, he gets a huge check and is content to wait for the next one. If these two guys don't fight next May, then I think it would qualify as a duck. But I don't think he's ducking Pacquiao now. He is just going to make the fight when he wants. Which will be next year or never. And let's not pretend that Bob Arum isn't content to wait either. Based on Mayweather's history and recent words, it's highly likely that the fight comes off next year.
Floyd did not duck. He says they'll fight next year. We all know he has the trial going on in the Fall, so it's understandable. He had a huge, wildly entertaining fight in May, earning him huge revenue. He doesn't need to fight this November in the middle of his trainer/uncle's trial. Let things settle, and it's going down!
