He is certainly a top 100 p4p fighter h2h and based on resume. no matter how you cut it, him coming up from SFW to where he is is very impressive. Don't get me wrong, i hate the guy, but to say he has not performed in the ring as an ATG has is false, imo.

Not if you are already a multi millionaire and you think the guy is cheating. Boxing is a destructive sport. You want to make sure guys are being right. This used to be Roger Mayweather...

Boxing is a brutal sport. Before you go into a situation you need to know that the other guy ain't cheating.

    I never said he wasn't a top 100 p4p fighter h2h and based on resume. Did I?

Well, El Bujia did, and I thought you were agreeing with him. I personally have him at 45-50 something. he deserves that much, i think.

El Bujia said he was borderline.

I was agreeing with his assertion that Floyd is a *****, not his statement about Floyd being borderline.

I disagree with you, for me his resume is not the resume of a top 50 ATG fighter. Too many have done so much more than he has. As I said, by historical standards his resume is feeble. He could have done a lot more than he has, even in this era.

Everyone seems to be celebrating this news for some strange reason. 'haha I knew PBF was a coward' and things like that.

But for me this is sad news. Am I Floyds biggest fan, NO! But I am a boxing fan and this news is sad for boxing as we will not see the two best fighters of their era go at it in what would have been one of boxings biggest ever events.

That's the way I see it anyway.

I can't be disappointed, because I never had any hopes to begin with. I have never, ever believed that Floyd Mayweather would step into the ring with Manny Pacquiao, not for a second, so I had no hopes to dash.

I'm actually glad he came out and said this(although he could have said it differently). I think because he did, that it will 100% happen next year. There's no way he comes out and says these things and doesn't fight him. Look if I made 40 million in a fight, after busting my ass for 10-12 weeks, I'd want a nice vacation too. Now, I would have handled it a lot different than he has, but Floyd's a egotistical moron. And I'm not saying I'm happy with what he's doing, but IMO, it's definitely going to happen.

do u pacroid fan ever wonder how a guy goes up in wieght class and has the same speed, more power and a STRONGER CHIN... i mean... i can maybe understand that hes getting older so hes putting on wieght and that can explain more power. I can even understand keeping the same speed, even though I cant recall anyone being able to do that (even roy jones who was the most athletically gifted boxer i ever saw lost some speed and power when he went up). But how do u explain having a better chin at a higher wieght?????? Chins dont get stronger do they? I wonder......

i dont think he's lost the urge. i think he's just saying it because he doesnt want the fight with pacquiao, and he's sick of everyone asking him about it. i think if pacquiao retired for good, floyd would soon find the urge again.

you need to get a ****ing life and realize there is more to boxing than Pacquiao-Mayweather or stalking Calzaghe around town.

    Response to THIBB: IMO...

Starving + draining yourself to make weight... especially without the help of a good nutritionalist/fitness trainer etc. can severly weaken your chin.

Most guys fighting closer to their natural weight (ie Pac 140-150ish) will have a better chin (+ ability to take body shots) than they would being 15-20lbs lighter.
