    The original. One of the greatest to ever do it. Champions in every weight class terrified of him. Arguably the most incredible physical talent of any boxer ever. Dempsey admitted he was scared of this man.

    Another one. Ray Robinson refused to meet him in the ring, as did many fighters from WW-MW. Arguably one of the greatest ring scientists ever. Futch said he was the best he ever saw, period.

    Peter Jackson (shamelessly ducked by John L Sullivan , fought James J Corbett to a 61 round draw) , Tommy Bell (fought a close one with Sugar Ray Robinson, and got ripped off in a decision against Jake LaMotta), Joe Choynski (drew with Jim Jeffries, kayoed a novice Jack Johnson) and Jerry Quarry (a cruiserweight who fought in the best era of heavyweights ever, and still pummled much bigger Ron Lyle and Earnie Shavers).

    Id throw Quarrys name in their as well,he defeated some of the best contenders in the best age of heavyweight boxing.He was just unfortunate to be boxing at the same time as frazier and Ali.
