What do you guys think ? I am biased because Hopkins is my favorite fighter of all time and Floyd has been on my fraud suspect list for many years.

    Hopkins.

the fact that he's in his 40's and still somewhat of an elite is extraordinary.

If he beats Pascal, it seals the deal.

Hopkins, PBF will be rightly seen as a more skillfull boxer because hes the best boxer in the business but Hopkins will be seen as more of a warrior and on at the higest standard.

If Floyd fights and beats Pacquiao the response here will be quite different.

Clearly Floyd. The fact is Bhop was beatable in his prime. Floyd it can be argued at his best weight is the best ever. Bhop may not even be top 5 at his best weight ever. Plus there are a lot of guys with flashy styles through history who could give Bhop problems.

The same cannot be said about Floyd.

What will be seen as the better win?

    Hopkins over Pascal?

    or

    Mayweather over Pac?

May over Pac is a vastly more significant win, and you know it. Hopkins over Pascal is far from a bad win, it's worthy of praise, but it's not on the level of a win over current mythological beast in Pacquiao.

Pretty amazing this guys life. Came out of prison focused on one thing and one thing only - becoming a great boxer. kept his nose clean for his whole career, managed himself, stood up to HBO and ended up knocking out Trinidad, De la Hoya, Glen Johnson beating Pavlik, Tarver, Winky Wright and avenging his loss to Roy Jones. He beat approx 5 of 6 ATG's he faced and was never hurt in any fights against them. Defended his Middleweight title 20 times until robbed by Duane Ford.

You are a legend when you are in your 40's and take on younger fighters who are champions. You are a nothing when you only fight guys older than you like Floyd.

They are polar opposites. Too bad Floyd is not like B-Hop.

I could see an argument for Hopkins.
The way he looked against Jones..... :scaredas:

    But I suppose you're right.

Hopkins has never been hurt even when fighting a guy like Pavlik almost 20 year younger. Floyd was hurt badly against Mosley so Floyd can't say the same about his chin.
Floyd lost to Castillo in his prime and B-Hop lost to Roy Jones Jr. but at that point he was not in his prime and his prime was clearly 1998-2004.

Apparently you don't know BHop, or PBF for that matter...Beatable? Any man is beatable on any given night but, Bhop didn't look beatable in his prime...PBF has looked plenty beatable (See Castillo, ODLH, etc.), and ducking the toughest challengers makes him look like he knows it...

Some say his prime was 1995-2004 as he went 15-0 w/ 11 by KO. Knock out wins vs Tito, ODLH and Glen Johnson pretty impressive.
