So apparently he was having double vision which was throwing his pinpoint accuracy out for the Super Six. I'm guessing he had the same problem in the second half of the Calzaghe fight when he couldn't punch ****. The guy is just not cut out to be a top level boxer. He threw away his prime with legal battles with Palle. As soon as he comes up against top level fighters he's swinging and missing all over the place. OVERRATED
Palle was flushing his career down the toilet and he had to go through legal troubles to get off the contractual rights Mogens had with him. He fought a spirited war against Calzaghe and tipped his hat to the superior man on the night, how can you even try to make it out as if he had a ton of excuses? There was mutual respect between the two after the fight, and Calzaghe rates him as his best win, Calzaghe should know better than you, no? :rofl You should know the risk involved with eye injuries, just look at Calvin Brock and Lamon Brewster as of late, you stupid twit.. is he supposed to go blind over a sport he's already made millions in?
Nah. The guy was a good champ and a warrior. Is he overrated by some? Sure he is. His resume is somewhat thin, but not awful, and he's only lost to guys who were at, or have risen to the top of the division. I don't view what he's doing as making excuses. I prefer to tip my hat to his even making an effort to compete under those circumstances if it is as severe as I am lead to believe.
Very poor form in this post. Yes, Kessler made some poor decisions, but who hasnt in their life. Kessler will be well regarded at 168 forever in his career and is likely top 10 all time right now at 168. he always came to fight, in shape and did his best. that is all us fans can ask.
Why are you bothering to make a thread (that makes you sound foolish and biased, btw) about someone who's probably going to be inactive for a year? The reason "overrated" has a pejorative connotation is because people get sick of hearing about people who are hyped beyond their ability. Who exactly is hyping Kessler or flooding the board with discussion of him now that he's out of commission? :huh ****ing idiot.
Well, this sucks... I was just writing an article for the main page entitled "Kessler: He is all that!"
Former undisputed world champ and 2 time world champ yeah he was never gonna make it in the big time......******
