Big difference Liston was kod in 1 and stopped in the other. Where as Chavez won 1/3 of the fight against Whittaker. Please dont exaggerate:nono:-(

Come on, Chavez has a very slight chance to beat Whitaker in a prime for prime matchup.

Tell me you wouldn't place money on Sweet Pea?

The weight didnt mean ****, it was just that Whitaker was the superior fighter at that particular stage of their careers, just like Chavez was probably the superior fighter in 1987/88... its all about timing in boxing.... but a time machine would sure as **** sort this **** out eh ? :D

Please see Chavez absolute masterclass over Camacho 2 yrs after the Taylor fight, then we can talk.

The Rivera fight wasn't a robbery. It was an either-way fight. Chavez fans that are looking to hang that up as a counterargument to the disgraces that were Pea-Chavez and Pea-Ramirez must be joking.

The first Whitaker-Ramirez robbery destroyed a chance of what would have been the highest quality fight in terms of ability between the fighters in the last 25 years.

There was no difference in the abilities of the Chavez that ran roughshod over Camacho and the one that fought Whitaker. The difference was the level between Whitaker and Camacho.

Sure, but I reckon Whitaker had lost as much if not more speed than Chavez if we look at their peak levels.

The difference in a lower weight battle would be that Chavez would be a little stronger in comparison to Whitaker.

Whitaker was better than Camacho, of course but the Chavez of the Camacho fight was a fair bit better than the Whitaker version IMO... I doubt that that version of JCC would have shut-out Camacho the way he did.

    JMO :good
