What would a fighter you dislike need to do for you to be their fan?

    I have never been a Pacquiao fan. Don't get me wrong. I'm not a hater. I admire the way he has risen to superstardom. I'm in awe on how he has been able to take on some big challenges and even bigger fighters and prove people wrong. I believe he has a very exciting style of fighting. What keeps me from been his fan is the fact that he has beaten a lot of my favorite fighters. In those fights I rooted against him and now I just find it hard to root for him. Also, I personally know some obnoxious fans of his that I would love to get in their face someday. :hey

    However, I just saw an article on a boxing website that would make me forgive him for all I have just said. Pacquiao in MMA. I don't want to see it happen as a boxing fan, it would be a terrible loss, but if he ever did, I would love for him to kick the ever living butt out of those MMA fighters. :bbb

    interesting thread...it's the same reason i've rooted against mayweather so much. gatti, hatton and oscar were 3 of my favourite fighters.

    speaking of floyd, if he fought pac, then dropped down and beat the winner of alexander/bradley or took on martinez he's got the respect of everyone out there back

    i like this thread i agree i dotn hate pac if anything i like and respect him but i always end up rooting against him and its nothin to do with him its roach and arum i cant stand and the fact that he beat barrera and morales of course lol i always wish that pac was around when barrera and morales was at 122 and at ther best

    I can't stand the fact the he beat Morales twice and beat Hatton, De La Hoya, and Cotto the way he did. It was just too heart breaking to allow me to become his fan.

    I dislike very few boxers. but ill list those i do and how they could win me over.

    calzaghe-show some modesty and respect.
    barrera-turn back time and lose to naz
    gamboa-fight a decent opponent(hopefully resolved next fight)
    williams-fight a world class opponent(hopefully resolved next fight)
    floyd-fight pac
    pac-fight best available opponent.
    haye-fight a klitschko
    maidana-knock out a top lww(the hype surrounding him is unjustified)

    haye...um....nothing. i can't think of anything he could do at this point.

    calzaghe could quit doing drugs, make a comeback, gets his ass handed to him by bute, lose all his money gambling, end up on the streets, and while being served by roy jones who is volunteering in a soup kitchen admit he ducked him while roy was in his prime and beg roy's forgiveness
