There are exceptions. Guys like Brock and Toney get more money because they are established names who capture the peoples interest rightly or wrongly. Kimbo Slice got $25k for his UFC debut. Nelson and Schaub were the finalists but got paid $8k plus a win fee. There is a ranking pay structure which you work your way up but if you are an established name it does bring about obvious benefits.
In most other sports the athletes get sponsorship money and some of the time its more than what they get paid for the sport so why is the ufc still paying so little to certain fighters.
I've read that the card did 570,000 buys which is quite standard for the UFC. Typically they get between 500-600k and break a million for Brock cards. Evans v Rampage recently broke a million too.
Where is your source that randy gets over a million ? Im not surprised by this pathetic pay scale of the JEWFC, Dana probably fuks his wife in installments.
The scary thing to me is not the fact that their pay is so low, but the fact that their sponsoring and advertisement is so dire compared to other athletes, so it's a double hit. However, they're signing the contracts so I guess its cool. Its when there's too money the issues crop up. I think when they retire they should just be kept on the permanent payroll.
Id like to see the last boxing big card (JMM vs. Juan Diaz) payscale. I bet the UFC had a bigger payroll.
I bet marquez and diaz got paid more than 1/20th of the total money generated by their ppv. thats the point why cant you guys see that?
I'm interested in seeing this broken down in percentages. How much did marquez diaz net, and how much were the fighters paid.. Vs. how much the last ufc event. So, imagine this.. Lets imagine a phenom boxer comes along and is actually likeable, marketable, and is entertaining in the ring.. Lets say the second coming of Mike Tyson shows up. Are we going to factor in sponsors that hook him up, like lets say he starts doing commercials for Coca Cola.. Is that factored in to how much he would get paid for the fight? Did we factor in how much say Tiger Woods was getting via sponsor's, vs. how much he was getting paid per time he won a cup/championship? No? Seems someone is getting dry ****ed in the ass doesn't it? Yes? Well what are the numbers?
Well, We dont know the numbers precisely. Id like to see the undercard payscale of JMM/Diaz. Im pretty sure most UFC top guys are getting PPV% and MMA top fighters in general have probably more or at least the same amount of endorsements. I know for a fact that Randy has made more money than JMM in the last 5years than probably JMMs whole career. Its really hard compare both sports. We cant go oh Pac and Floyd makes 40M per fight so on and so on thats because Boxing is over 100 years old as a sport.
And this is the reason why Randy went to court against the UFC because he claimed Dana was yolking him? Remember that lasted a year and Dana froze Randy out preventing him from fighting Fedor and for other organisations. Randy seems like a standup guy but he went to all those lengths for no reason then correct?
