I recorded that and must have watched those first few rounds 5x.
The deadliest one punch counter I have ever seen in my life. Before that Hatton had the look of being in the ring with a speed he has never seen before in his life. Watch the moments before the knockout it was as if Manny had a few seconds of frozen time to set the shot up.

Apparently, there are some fans that believe that that was luck. :rofl

    It's good short fight. It's a classic.

It was a devastating demolition. You can say Hatton set himself up nicely for Mannys counter and was just askin for trouble wading in like he does but when has anybody ever done that to Ricky Hatton?

    That was impressive.

even if these guys Manny demolished were not what they used to be (I don't believe that)
he made the claim visible that even at their best if you took a prime and peaked hatton., cotto, ODL, Manny is just too much and his speed is his power.

I thought he took some hits in round 2 from Hatton that he should of never had taken but got too anxious going for the knockout.

I think he fought his most perfect fight against DelaHoya. Did not give DLH the chance to counter with that one big shot whenever Pac had him cornered.

The fight only ended that way because by that point Hatton couldn't hold a shot, not because of some 'perfect shot'.

In fact, Hatton was actually doing pretty well in round 2.

no way. pac took the MAB fight on short notice. There were literally no excuses from Camp Hatton that night.

Obviously the fights with Morales, Barerra & JMM were all excellent fights...But as he began to move up in weight...The Cotto fight was a FANTASTIC display of how good Pacquiao is. The fights with Oscar, Hatton and Clottey never showed much because neither fighter FOUGHT BACK. Oscar had NO STREGNTH, Clottey chose to play "PEAK-A-BOO" and Hatton was typical Hatton.

I remember watching 24/7 Pacquiao vs Hatton and saw Mayweather Sr. giving Hatton solid advice and teaching Hatton use the ring, stay with the jab and don't come straight forward or move straight back....move side to side with angles and "STAY WITH THE JAB!!!'. And once the opening bell sounded, Hatton ditched all that **** and just did his usual...coming straight forward. Just look at the KO Punch. Hatton closed distance with his hands down and chin STICKING STRAIGHT OUT. He may as well put a sign on his chin saying: PUNCH HERE!!!

Manny vs Hatton is only ONE of Pac's many great shows. To me it was as good as De La Hoya, Cotto, Morales 3, Barrera 1, Ledwaba.

The thing I don't get is why Cotto underestimated him. Well nobody underestimates him anymore.

I keep watching it & i was actually at the fight in the MGM & had an incredible veiw M13 Row Q Seat 1, right in front of me & i heard that final shot DETONATE onto Hattons chin:yikes superb performence & as an earlier poster pointed out he had Hattons full co-operation in this massacre from the 1st bell:lol:

I upset plenty of the young Hatton fans in the Zuri Bar at the MGM when i said he'd be lucky to see out the 1st round as Hatton listens to no one except his cheer leaders & will just run straight ahead like a freight train into Pac's shots & least we forget that the greatest trainer of all time did'nt even know that Pacquiao was a southpaw so that equation = disaster waiting too happen x 2:patsch:lol:
